Someone pinch me,this trip must have been a dream UPDATED 7/9/10 Boats at the Poly

Sorry about CM's; hope you had a great day at TL though. I learned after a trip w/ lots of breakfasts that my family doesn't like em. Now I try to focus on lunch and dinners LOL.

RE: the stepsisters video; how cute! Although "singing" is a relative term. It totally freaked my poor dog out, she's cowering under the desk as I write!

I found your trip report last night and finished reading it today! Great report:cool1: You all looked very familiar to me and when I got to the part where you were waiting for Philharmagic, I realized we were standing right behind you!!! Too funny!!! My DD 16 kept commenting on how adorable Taylor was in her Cinderella dress. When she got home last night I showed her your report and she couldn't believe it. Really, what are the odds.

Can't wait for morepopcorn::

What a small small world.... do you remember what you were wearing? I took a ton of pictures while we were standing there, maybe you are in some of them. That is now 3 dissers who were at the same place at the same time as us at the MK that day..... I don't know if you saw their comments in the TR, but 1 was the grand marshalls of the parade and said they took a picture of Taylor in the VIP viewing area since they thought she was cute, and another was at CRT at the same time as us and ran into Taylor in the bathroom (and we were in the background of their pictures). I know there are a lot of us DISers out there, but we should walk around Disney World with our screen names floating above our heads or something.

Oops I think I got some pictures out of order since Morgan had dry hair when we returned to the wave pool... oh well you get the idea, I must have numbered them wrong.

Soooo Sorry that you didn't make chef Mickeys, Taylors dress was lovely, you are so talented:worship:

Great updates! Love the Chef Mickey dress, too cute! Looking forward to more. :)

Sorry you had to skip Chef Mickeys. TL looks fun!! Hope Taylor got to wear her OHana dress!!!!!!

Ohhh loved the new update. The water park looks like so much fun!!! We have never been to any of the Disney water parks. Sorry about Chef Mickey's. You should have just snuck off with Taylor and went by yourself....LOL!!!! JK

Loved the chef mickeys dress and bows! Too bad you couldnt make it, I think the cm's there would have loved it!

I LOVE your TR!!!! Your daughter is adorable! I can't wait for more! Thanks so much- your TR has lifted some of my "I Miss Disney" Blues!!!

Kristin

WOW!!! I am seriously in awe of your dressmaking talents!!!! How wonderful that you made outfits that matched the occasions and they look so cool and unique!!! I am soooo jealous of your sowing skills (in a nice way, not in a green eyed monster way). Unfortunately I can't even sow on a button without people thinking it was done by a two year old:rolleyes1

I loved reading your report. Your little girl is so lovely!! She is very lucky with a mommy like you! The extra attention and treats she got because of the outfits you made her are wonderful!! Remind her of this when she's a teenager :rotfl:

Your trip report is wonderful, thank you. How long did it take you to learn to sew like that, and where did you get all the appropriate materials, appliques and ribbons? My daughter would've loved to wear stuff like that when we went. She's getting a little too old for it now, I think. (She'll be 9 in Dec.) Oh well, opportunity missed I guess. I'm looking forward to reading the rest.

And thank you to you and your husband for his service. :thumbsup2

I guess it didn't take me too long to learn to sew.... I started at the end of April / beginning of May.... I haven't posted the first outfit I made for the trip yet, I will tell you all which one it was when I get to it. The 2nd outfit I made is coming up soon. Then I continued to make like 25 for the trip between May and Aug. I had never touched a sewing machine, and couldn't sew a button on earlier this year, so I was proud of myself. I owe most of my ability to the Disboutiquers, I never would have figured it out if it weren't for them.

Most of my fabric came from Joanns, Hancock, and Hobby Lobby. I did get a few fabrics from ebay or a fabric co-op.

My appliques came from 2 places (I did make like 1 of them by hand, but the rest were machine appliques) StitchonTime.com and on Etsy (search seller HeatherSue). HeatherSue is a another DISer, and her designs are awesome and easy to do!

Plain ribbon came from Hobby Lobby and Michaels, Disney ribbon came from ebay and a ribbon co-op I joined.

Oh and you didn't ask, but it is a big reason I was able to learn to sew... the patterns came from YouCanMakeThis.com. My favorite pattern designer is Carla C, she really knows how to explain everything and show how to do everything in pictures, that anyone could sew with her patterns.

I really am so glad I learned to sew, Taylor just LOVED her outfits and she got so much special attention in them.

I agree with Miranda about the Disboutique ladies (and Tom) being super inspiring and helpful and the patterns at You Can Make This are awesome!!!! I already knew the sewing basics, but after using the YCMT patterns - I may never buy another commerical sewing pattern again!!!

Okay, I just spend FOREVER reading your whole TR. I love the outfits that you make! You need to go on another trip so you can make some more! :rotfl:

Okay everyone cross your fingers, say a prayer or something!!! The rest of my trip report and the fate of my pictures now lies in the hands of the geek squad. My laptop died this morning.... and the crazy thing is, when I went to bed last night my pictures were in the process of transfering to my external hard drive. It said it had 40 some minutes remaining when I went to sleep, apparently it only got through a day and a half at Disney World before the laptop crashed. That totally sucks...I finally get around to backing up my pictures and my computer goes and crashes in the process. I am hoping and praying the geek squad can save them (and hopefully my laptop too.... this is like my 4th one in 3 years.... but I would buy like 10 laptops just to have my pictures back!!!)

So now you know why my TR has been delayed, hopefully it isn't cancelled.

:( Sending pixie dust for your laptop!!!!!

I really hope they can do something... that happened to us last year right after Christmas.. we ended up fixing it ourselves with a house fan, my friend's help, and a bunch of crossed fingers. And a replacement logic board, I think. As long as it could spin up long enough for us to grab everything off, that was good.. I wish you luck!
