If I find one more tissue in the washer......AFTER the machine is done, I'm gonna hurt somebody!!! :bounce: I've told them repeatedly, I'll get a female judge, who has had to deal with the thousands and thousands of pieces of white fuzzies all over the dark laundry, and I'll be totally acquited of any crime!! I swear they are out to drive me nuts...it ONLY happens to the dark clothes!

I just found 5 pieces of bubble gum in my dryer the other day, so I feel your pain.

Sending lots of sympathy your way. Last night I pulled DD's lipgloss out of the dryer. UGH!!!

Haven't seen a crayon in the dryer for a while - only the dark colored crayons make it in. Of course, there are always rocks in my son's pocket. How old are rock collecters before they stop putting them in the washer?????

I left my Mickey Mouse watch in my pocket when I did laundry yesterday! There were even pieces of it in the lint catcher. :(

I wish my DD would stop buying outfits that have all of this "hardware" on it -- zippers, clasps, buckles, etc.

Sounds like boulders in the dryer -- and those you can't remove before laundering...!

Why don't you just check the pockets before starting the washer like I do???

Because if I am doing all of the washing, drying, folding, ironing, etc., the least they can do is check their own pockets (and open up their socks the correct way, too)!

Sending you my sympathies ~ I swear sometimes looking into the dryer is like going on a voyage of discovery.

Ok, that may be, but it looks like you have a couple of young kids. Kids forget to do stuff like that. Just saying that if you are truly worried about it, you CAN check the pockets. I tell my kids to empty their pockets before they put them in the wash too, but I always check just to be sure.

The "kid" in my house who leaves the tissues in the pockets is 43.

Always quiet, I feel your pain. ;)

My son was looking all over the place for his Mickey watch last week and was never able to find it. The next day I was doing laundry and found the watch after it had gone through not only the washer, but the dryer too. The amazing thing is that it is still working today!! :)

YUP!!!

I DO NOT check pockets..if it is valuable enough for your to care about losing, you should care enough to take it out of your pockets.

IMHO, sounds like Mom is still doing your washing, Itsanalias.....

oh yeah, Mhopset...your idea works too!!!

Well then, your HO would be wrong. I do the wash in my house. If you don't check the pockets, don't be surprised to find things other than clothes in your washer/dryer......

There are 6 people in my home....That 42 pair of jeans or shorts per week....multiply that my 4 pockets......that's 168 pockets!! I've always told them ALL, if it's in the hamper, I cam only assume that it's ready to be washed. I normally hang the clothes outside on the line. Unfortunately, tissue doesn't blow off in the wind. Sticks like glue! Looks like all the clothes on the line will need a tumble in the dryer to get the tissue off. Ugh! Twice the work! :bounce:

Is this going to turn into a debate about who does the laundry better?

Get a life!!!!!!!

I would have to beat up myself, I am the one who always leave tissues in the pocket.....
Any change that is in the pockets is mine and goes in the WDW vacation money jar....

My DH, who should KNOW better, has been known to leave pens in his pocket. He washes sometimes too which makes it difficult to check his pockets first. Some pens definitely don't like being washed.

He hasn't done it in a while...oh my, he's due!!!!

Switch to hankies. It sounds like the hankies are in no danger of being thrown away.
