Someone help:When, Where and How to make room request.

I am on Disney planning overload and think I popped a blood vessel in my eye over it (jk). Our trip is March 2nd, and on Sunday I make our Fastpass selections. Someone please help a girl out:

We are staying at Port Orleans Riverside (which we've never been at before), and will be using the bus system. It's 4 of us, no strollers, but obviously we'd like the fastest walk to busses & dining hall. Not so interested in the pool but we would like to be in the Mansion area, and near water if possible. So please tell me what Building we want! And how and when do I make that request. I have no input from kids and husband and for just this one thing, would like someone to make the decision for me

I have no suggestions on what request to make but I can give you some advice on how. We are going 2/27-3/4 and I did my online check-in yesterday. As I stepped through the process, there was a place for room request. I hit the edit button and added my request. It's been almost 7 years since we've been to Disney and I can't believe how much has changed.

There's no specific time frame to make room reservations, you can do it at the time you make your reservation (if you book by phone), or anytime thereafter.

There are some generic request checkboxes you can fill in during online check-in, but if you want to request something that's not offered there, just call 407-WDISNEY and the agent will add it to your reservation.
