Yaaa!!! Another someday visitor!!! Its amazing what you find on your calendar when you read the fine print. We have seen the Christmas decorations before and I have to tell you they are beyond words! They are about 90% of the reason we chose to go back this time of year! If y see my crazy family, please stop me (if you can) and say hi!

Glad to find other PTRs for December travelers. I was starting to wonder where they all were. We are going over Christmas, again. This time the inlaws. We did a surprise trip with the kiddos in 2011. Looking forward to reading more and having some fun planning our big trips.

Saw your siggy while reading Lisa's (Mickeystoontown) PTR and I got REALLY excited for you!! I wish my someday was in Dec! But I am happy knowing that I have already met you, so it's okay. So far, you are one of only TWO dismeets I have for myself. (Do you remember me?? Crazy lady who saw your kids on the bus at Pop and stopped you when you got off?

Anyway, I think about you and your family often- praying for your son at random moments.

December 1, 2013 is my SOMEDAY too!!

My plans are not final yet, but I have always wanted to spend time at WDW at the holidays. My birthday is Nov, 28 and I am looking forward to celebrating and seeing all the great Christmas decorations and enjoying the holiday festivities.

Lets hope for good weather. I look forward to counting down the days with you.

WE had the girls go to the Tea together and they enjoyed it so much. If I can get my butt moving with my TR you can see it.

So glad you found my little PTR!! I love this time of year... well, it is the only time we have ever gone but I do think it was the best possible time to go!!

I have to admit, I never noticed the typo in your name till you pointed it out. I am really good at reading things the way they are supposed to be... as opposed to how they really are!

Thank you!! I am glad you stumbled across me!! I do remember the meet. Quick as it was, it was great bumping into you!!! To be honest, I am awful with names so I am so glad you mentioned seeing us on the bus. Otherwise I might have not put two and two together!!

Thank you for thinking of us and praying for Gavin. I will make an update in a few days about how he is doing. We have some MAJOR things coming up that almost put the breaks on this trip... but you'll have to wait for all the info.

We are going the same time this trip as our trip in 2010. I LOVED the Christmas decorations and all the special activities. It made that Christmas the best Christmas ever. It put us in the Christmas mood and we stayed in that mood till after New Years.

The weather HAS to be better than our 2010 trip!! I'll share all that info with you soon! I am afraid of doing it too soon and you running for cover!!

I know a few weekends ago I said I would try to get another installment posted to this PTR, but as you can imagine, life doesn't always co-operate! In fact, a few things happened since I posted that message that I was sure would put the end to this trip... but I am HAPPY to report that we are still on. In fact, I made a little payment today on my someday!!! I will at least get some dates/ places and such posted soon.

I really need to pay more attention to this PTR!! After all, I have heard it is the best PTR on the planet!!! Things have just been super busy lately. I know you can all commiserate with me!!

I know that I have the smartest PTR readers ever!! By now you have all figured out that Someday is December 1st and that is the day that my amazing (another word I will use WAY too often!) family will check in to the most amazing (yes, I used it again) place in the world... that includes the REAL world too, btw! We will be a very happy bunch of travelers that just put on about 1100 miles on their weary body. We'll still feel like cheering though!

Actually, truth be known we will arrive in Orlando on November 30! We plan to stay off site and just get in and sleep. I am sure the kids will want to hit something that first day but the answer will be no... at least till they pester enough. Depending on the time we may hit DTD, just to get our feet wet.

The goal the next day is to wake up SUPER EARLY... Get out of the off site hotel and head to our home away from home. POP CENTURY!!! The last trip we also stayed at Pop and our family loved it. The kids enjoy the bright colors and atmosphere. It works well for our family and being a value resort means a longer stay! Believe me, when you drive 1100 miles you want to get as many days as you can before the return trip.

I know, all you smart followers are thinking... "Wow! These people are crazy! Driving 1100 miles." Well, I know many people do it. We are pretty fortunate in that we have 2 drivers who can switch off. My husband, who I will introduce you too later, (at the rate i'm going MUCH later!! ) actually drives for a living, well as one of his 2 jobs. He drives taxi so he is used to driving...especially over night. I will take my turns in the bright sunny day light. Going down in 1 day will not be the problem. We will have the adrenaline going... wanting to get to our happy place! The way back will be a little like this... ! With lots of !

I am sure that many of you are asking yourself right now... exactly how many days should a person stay if they are driving 1100 miles. Well, Its a good thing I figured that out for you! A family driving 1100 miles should stay 8 nights and 9 days... although more is always great! That means that this family will be staying from Dec 1-Dec 9. This trip is actually shorter than our last trip, so I am hoping it is enough. The problem really is the kids... We CAN NOT LEAVE THEM AT HOME!! Just kidding. My family is my world!! But the kids are only allowed to miss 5 educational days. We luck out. By leaving right after Thanksgiving they have Thursday through Tuesday off. That means their educational days don't start till Wed... which, if you are doing the math means the kids must be back to school the following Weds. Stupid school, getting in the way of my vacation!!

So, there you have my ramblings. My amazing (3 times in one episode of a PTR...yep, that is over use!) family will be at Pop Century from Dec 1-9. Although we will be off site in a cheap-o motel the night before.

If you stayed with me through all my ramblings you are awesome... or amazing, take your pick! Hope you will stay with me as I drag this out, I mean entertain you, as much as I can! December is so far away!!!

Last time we did it in one shot (DH and I switching off). There was only one problem- I can't sleep in a moving car!! We ended up stopping at a Walmart somewhere for about an hour, where I slept and DH watched for creepy people. Lololol I'll never try to drive it non stop again.

We loved it there last time... but than again, I don't think its possible to stay anywhere in Disney and not love it! After all, it is the most magical place on Earth!

There were a few days earlier this month/ late last month that I really thought the trip would be called off. My husband has told me that I am not allowed to tell anyone that it is off... They have to hear it from him to believe it! That's just one reason I love my hubby!

We are in central PA. Just about 15 minutes from Penn State. Now I don't feel so bad, you have a much LONGER drive than we do. I think we can get there in just under 17 hours... under 15 if I get to drive much!

The last trip down I couldn't sleep at all in the car. I was so wired. On the way home we stopped in NC for a few days to spend time with the in-laws. So it was a break in the trip. This time it all has to be done in 1 day. Kids have to go back to school... unless they get a little sniffle on the way home! Seriously though, They are only allowed 5 days... and I do know they will be excited to get back and tell their friends all about things.

I am back. I just need to spend more time here, where life is beautiful all the time... I don't mind the drive down too much but the drive home will be a super sized stinker. No one ever wants to leave. I know this makes me sounds weird, but the last trip I told Jon something to the effect of "if the world was ever really going to end, it would be ok if it ended just before we left Disney." I know morbid, but my thought was to stop time in a perfect moment for all eternity... and I did say if it MUST happen!

I am hoping that summer at least goes quickly and I am sure that once school starts for both kids, it will pick up speed. Fall seems to go super fast... most years. Although I do feel bad because I am wishing for time to go fast when I really want my kids to stop growing so fast. Its a catch 22!

Ok, I just left out a little giggle outburst! It's only 36 days till ADR day!!!!!! I think I really need to get things figured out!!!! I have been trying to figure out from conversations what "special" things the kids want to do. Its hard with them not knowing! And we aren't telling till AUGUST!! They would drive me crazy already if they knew.
