Somebody Stole My Crocs!!!!!!!!

I am at Myrtle Beach, SC on vacation. Today has not been a good day. First of all the condo that we're staying in was DIRTY, and my bed had been PEED on. So I had to wash everything and go and buy a matress pad before I could go to bed. So finally I went to sleep at 2 am. So I thought today would be better, since I am at the beach and I love the beach.

Well I get in the ocean and in the first 15 minutes I lose my sunglasses. And I loved my sunglasses. But these things happen and I was o.k. So I went up to our condo's pool to play with my nieces and I took off my crocs flip flops and put them within 6 feet of where I was playing with the children. Then someone dropped a baby bottle off the building and almost hit my head and shattered everywhere. So I go to get out of the pool and my crocs are GONE!!! I didn't want to think that someone had taken t hem so I start looking all around to make sure that is where I put them. Then I thought maybe someone picked them up by mistake and will bring them back.

I went back a little while later and still no Crocs, but someone did pour soda on me from above.

And they were the only pair of shoes that I brought with me b/c they are so comfortable and stuff. So my mom is going to let me borrow a pair of her flip flops so I can go and buy new shoes. Arrrr.

I'm sorry that someone stole your crocs. If you think about it, it's icky to steal a stranger's shoes.....ewww! Tomorrow I hope you can find a store that sells crocs so you can replace your pair.

I hope that the rest of your vacation is better than the beginning of it was.

From Greenville, SC here...that is the worst part about Myrtle Beach. It is beautiful, but not filled with the most upstanding citizens around holiday weekends. I too would be very upset as I loooovvveee my croc-flops.

Awww... How terrible! Stealing shoes poolside is pretty tacky. Probably someone staying at your condo! I know it seems petty, but I'd be looking at everyone's feet for the rest of the day there! What, did the person forget their own shoes or just want your Crocs?

well hey neighbor, i'm from spartanburg. yeah i really prefer charleston, but my whole family is on vacation together and they wanted to come here. Oh well I just called a store at Barefoot landing and they carry them, so I might go and pick up a new pair tonight, but they will not be leaving the room if I'm going to the beach or pool. I'll get a pair of cheapies for that. That was a really easy way to lose $30.

Where are you staying? I live in Wilmington, which is only 1 hr away and we go to Myrtle alot. Just wondered if you are in a hotel or condo (timeshare) where you have to bring your own sheets? Just want to make sure I never stay at that one!

I'm sorry about all the mishaps . I don't know which is worse - the pee on the bed or the stolen shoes.

Not that mishaps don't happen there, too, but don't you wish you were at WDW instead ?

It is called Crescent Shores in North Myrtle. It's a condo. And we did bring our own linens. I won't even use the comforter that was on the bed. Gross.

And yes, I always wish I'm at WDW

Someone peed on your bed, stole your shoes, and almost dropped a bottle on your head! OMG that sucks! You're going to need a vacation from your vacation!

I think a few people at that condo are going to have some serious karma kick them in the butt.

And another thing about people who are throwing/spilling things/stealing is that there is "security" here. They come out at 10 pm and tell you to get out of the pool, lock you out of the gates so you have to walk all around the condo even though they are still standing in the gates, and then mouth off to you if you have 4 little kids with you and they won't let you back into the gate with remarks like "he's been here all day, do you understand???" but then they aren't patroling the pool area in the daytime at all to keep any of this stuff from happening. After the bottle was thrown/fell they didn't get to the area for 20 min. and we cleaned it up.

and i really hope that no one breaks their neck in that lazy river. they are diving off the center section onto people and each other and the whole thing isn't very wide at all and only 3 ft deep.

Well I'm going to go and try to do something fun tonight, but my feet will probably hurt lol.

Wow thats terrible! I really hope things get better from this moment out. I had no idea Myrtle Beach was so bad. Although I haven't been there for like 15 years..
