kids are watching the Suite Life marathon on the Dis channel....I think I'm going crazy. This show is the new "Full House" in terms of shows that make me ill.

the overacting, the terrible phony accents, the completely unbelievable scripts, the almost complete lack of humor, the laugh track, and the pacing of the show on steroids...

I wasn't very happy about it either.

My poor 4yr DD was looking forward to watching her normal Playhouse Disney shows, and she now has to watch this (she likes this show, but she wanted her normal shows more). I wish they would have started it later in the morning so the little kids could still have their shows.

I don't let my girls watch this show anymore. Those boys are so disrespectful: of each other, of their mother, of authority. I just hate them. Their dialogue consists mainly of put-downs and sarcasm, the plots consist mainly of scheming and doing things behind their mother's back.

Disney really needs to work on their tv shows. They're a huge disappointment to me.

I feel your pain!!! I think I may offer to take DD to the movies. I have been hearing it for awhile now I think I have seen every single episode at least 1 million times.

Ahhhhh...remember the olden days when Disney showed their classic TV shows and classic cartoons on the Disney Channel? Anybody up for some 'Spin and Marty' or the original Mickey Mouse Club or maybe even the 'Scarecrow' movie?

And while we're at it, I am SICK of the relentless 'corporate synergy' with all the cross-promotion from whatever Disney corporate offering is being sold (Dwayne The Rock on 'Corry in the House' whilehislatestbigscreenDisneyadventureisbeingreleased anyone?)

ACK, I can't stand that show!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Way worse than Full House (except for maybe the seasons when those boys were on there too LOL). I can take a Hannah Marathon, and back in the days Lizzie marathons but Zach and Cody make me want to hurl!!!!!!!!! Thank goodness my dd had a friend sleep over so they are playing video games instead of watching it.

I agree with you. Yesterday it was Hannah Montana and today Suite Life. DS2 kept asking for Mickey Mouse.

This is the reason why our kids have their own playroom with their own TV I can watch a little of those but after awhile I get a little annoyed

Hmmm....DS9 must not have known the marathon is on....he just left to go to the driving range with DH & he didn't ask me to DVR it for him.

Wow.. I thought this show was geered towards middle and high school aged kids. In my high school classes people would always be talking about it.. I know that littler kids watch it as well but this is actually how life is nowdays.

Most of the Disney shows are terrible. We do let DD8 watch Suite Life because IMO it's just dumb while many of the others (Hannah Montana, That's So Raven come to mind) use phases and situations that are too mature for much of the audience they're trying to attract. Luckily with church and afternoon plans we will miss most of the marathon.

I agree. my kids aren't allowed to watch the show anymore for exactly that reason. The kids also never have consequences for their actions.

what really annoys me about the Disney Channel in general is how "keyed up" everything is....like a 3 year old who just drank a gallon of Mountain Dew.....the ads, the promos....everything is just done at a fever pitch.....

now some will say that this is because of the target age of the audience, but give your kids more credit than that....they deserve better and should expect better.....overstimulation would be how I would describe it.

....and I'm sure all hotels let their lounge singers live in a luxury suite....and the singers kids have free roam of the kitchen.....

I totally agree, except that SL doesn't look good compared to it. I loved Raven when she was on -- she made me laugh on a regular basis. But those twins just make me cringe whenever they're shrieking at the cameras for whatever reason.
