I'm in the early planning stages for our next trip and I'd love to hear opinions about the transportation at WDW moderate and deluxe resorts. We stayed at All Star Movies last time and the transportation was great but I'd like to stay somewhere else for our next trip.TIA

The only transportation complaint I had was at the YC, the buses there pick up at so many other resorts. We were first, but generally the buses to the MK were always packed. But other than that I have always been pretty lucky.

I'm not sure what you're asking. Would you like to know which resorts offer the best or most transportation options?

As far as MK resorts, the Polynesian is the most centrally located. You can monorail or take a boat launch shared with the GF to the Magic Kingdom. To Epcot you can simply walk to the TTC monorail. All other parks require a bus.

The AK Lodge has its own bus system, and very quick.

I second what the previous poster said: the Epcot Resorts are great for Epcot and MGM, less so for MK. Five resorts share one MK bus, which is absurd.

Pop Century reportedly (I haven't stayed there) also has pretty good bus service. So does Coronado Springs.

If you have a specific transportation question, i'll be happy to answer it!

Thank you both for responding. I was just trying to decide where to stay and didn't want to pick a resort with a bad transportation reputation. We're leaning towards the Contemporary. But if the transportation there wasn't very good we would reconsider. It's still a long ways off but I couldn't resist starting to plan in my head.

The Contemporary has great transportation options, as good as the Polynesian. You can walk to the MK - much faster than taking the monorail since the monorail goes clockwise around the Lagoon.

For additional dining and recreation options you can take the boat launch to Ft Wilderness and Wilderness Lounge.

In addition, the TTC is only one monorail stop away, so commuting to Epcot is a snap.

Actually, they don't...
