Many of the more "vintage" posters here will remember my various and sundry travel adventures while flying from MA to various airports in FL. Well, DH and I just had another adventure. We flew on Sunday from Boston to Ft Myers. Our flight was scheduled for 6:08am but we were delayed by about 40 minutes due to our incoming flight being delayed. Our crew was great, and got us to RSW only about 20 minutes later than our original arrival. However, once we landed, we got to a gate more quickly than I ever remember. Turns out that we had a minor medical emergency on board, and had to wait for EMS to assist and take a young man off the plane. He had actually been sitting right in front of DH, but moved mid-flight. It was not a full flight so we figures he just moved to a row with an empty seat.
The flight crew were fantastic, and took good care of him, so much so that we did not know until the pilot came on and "asked" everyone to remain seated until EMS was finished. Every.single.person complied with this, which was awesome to see.
So, as you can see our travel adventures and delays continue. If this keeps up, I may have to start announcing my plans in advance again, to warn all my Transportation Board friends when NOT to travel.
