Greetings from the Dream! To thank everyone for all the helpful tips, I thought I’d share a few things from our current B2B. As background, my DH and I are Platinum cruisers and typically go on the Fantasy. We wanted to check out the Dream; the last time we were on her was 2015. We just came off the 3-day today and turned right around for the 4-day.
— Leaving this morning and returning for the B2B was easy as pie. We were through customs about 9:00. We were able to go right back up the escalator and didn’t have to go through security again. That felt like a dream — always wanted to jump right back up those escalators! We hung out in the Concierge fishbowl lounge with about 25 others and returned on board at 11:00. Waded around Satellite Falls for a bit as we had it to ourselves and relaxed before heading over to lunch. Loving this!
— Tony from Spain has been the adult evening host and is quite good! We miss Brent with the crazy socks, but we’ve enjoyed Tony.
— We purchased the Rainforest Couples pass on the 3-day for $99 + tax/gratuity. We didn’t receive any scrubs, but when we purchased our Rainforest Couples 4-day pass, we received scrubs (chocolate and some wonderful herbal). When we mentioned not receiving scrubs last cruise, they gave us another set. So make sure if you want them that you ask. We received a package of 4 in each bundle.
— We’re in Stateroom 5660 with a lovely extended verandah. Even better, we were able to easily watch the fireworks during Pirate night — no note about staying off the verandah and our room host confirmed it was ok to stay.
— Diet Coke and Coke Zero seem to be a bit interchangeable on board. Several times I ordered Diet Coke in the dining rooms and received Coke Zero. No worries, but thought it was interesting. At the self-service stations, Port side has Coke Zero and Starboard side has Diet Coke. Also, Starboard side has Seagram’s ginger ale, which was new to us.
— The shops on board have some cute Mickey Americana plates, bowls, and glasses on clearance ($7.99 each)
— The Design-Your-Own station is gone, but the Tiffany pop-up is still here. Cast on board said the permanaent Tiffany shop will be added next dry dock (if not sooner).
— Had no idea Diamonds International also had a presence in White Caps. Very different from when I last was on this ship.
I’m happy to anwer any questions.
