I want to book a room at Hojos and was wondering if you could answer a couple of questions for me. Do I need to ring in-house reservations between Mon-Fri? Can I call up and book a room over the weekend instead? I really want to book a room now so that I know that our dates are secured and I don't really want to risk waiting until Monday incase all the rooms have sold out.

If I book say a Queen room now, am I later able to change my booking to a king room if I decide that I want to swap?

Also when you book, do they charge you a deposit? Do you need to supply your credit card details? What happens if I need to cancel the booking? Do they charge a cancellation fee at all?

Hi Butterflykisses. I'm in Australia and booked last week online to secure our room for November. Just go to their website at www.hojoanaheim.com/ and you can do it that way, saves having to call. I just had to supply a credit card number to secure the room but it doesn't get charged until you check in. It sends you an email with your booking details and it has a 'cancel reservation' option on the email if you need to cancel or change your mind etc, you're not charged anything to cancel it unless its something like 48 hours prior to check in and then they charge you one night (think thats right but you'd need to double check those figures). If you need to upgrade the room, I suppose you could cancel that booking and re book or just call them and change the reservation. On their website they also have a discussion board that covers heaps of questions that I found to be really helpful. Hope this helps :thumbsup2

I booked a few days ago and they took my credit card # but won't charge me unless I fail to give 24 hours cancellation notice. I would try to call them directly. Are you an AP holder or belong to an automobile association like AAA? If so, definitely call them to get quotes for a discount. I'm an AAA member and will be getting an AP soon. The AAA rate was $120-something for one night on July 16th in a standard King room, but the AP rate is $95. I obviously booked the AP rate.

I hope this helps! Good luck!

Thank you for your replies.

AussieDaisy, I just booked our room online and now feel so relieved it is secured. We wanted a King room but they didn't have any left so we booked a Deluxe queen room instead. It will only be me and my fiance staying there so I guess we'll just have an extra bed.

I just checked our dates again on the reservation site and our first day is now sold out. We must have booked the last room! OMG, I am sooooo glad we booked now instead of waiting until Monday to call them.

What rates did you get if you don't mind me asking?

I have to laugh at this. After nearly 10 years of marriage my hubby and I always request a King. Our last "getaway" they only had two queens available, so we cheerfully took advantage and each of us enjoyed an entire bed all to ourselves. We did do a little "snuggling" but when it came to sleep we were both in hog heaven.

:rotfl2::lmao:

I am laughing because DH and I are going to celebrate our 11th anniversary and all they had available is the 2 queens...hmmmmm....

Hi, I just booked rooms there yesterday and the person booking me said it was 48 hours cancellation. Just FYI in case you need to cancel...

Keep an eye on the HoJo message boards (http://www.hojoanaheim.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=14), and watch to see if any of your dates become available at the Entertainment rate. They often add dates at the last minute. If you see them, call in house reservations as soon as possible (although the in house office there is only open 9-5 Mon-Fri) and ask to be changed to the Ent rate, then get yourself an Entertainment book or at least the card. You could be getting your deluxe room for $69 a night.

They will always adjust your rate to the best available when you call them directly. Jennifer and Lorealle are so great! Really friendly and helpful. :thumbsup2
