Some of the new kids menu scans:

Thanks for the menus. Good to see it isn't the same at every place. :cool1:

Is it just me or does that seem like a lot of grilled fish for kids????? :confused3 Not just as fish food places too. The chicken I understand. I don't know many kids who will eat grilled fish. For the ones that do it is great though (not my kids, tuna fish is as close as I can get.)

We aren't eating at any of the places with menues listed so it is nice to get a peak at them. :thumbsup2

My son loves fish, but can't often get it on kids menus and non-seafood places, so he is thrilled to that he'll be able to try some at Disney. Plus it is catch of the day, so it should be a different type of fish each time. :thumbsup2

I can add to this on Tuesday. I have Plaza Restaurant, Coral Reef, Grand Floridian, LeCellier, CRT and 50s Prime Time

My girls love fresh fish, the plainer the better. That is how I feed them at home, since we eat mostly fish. They had it a couple times this week. At Coral Reef, it was the Mahi Mahi, loved it! I am very happy this was added to the menus in many places.

I think it's more because most people don't feed fish to their kids that much (myself included, unfortunately). Too bad, because whitefish, or even some salmon, is quite mild and would probably be easily accepted by a lot of kids.

Thanks for posting the menus. I remember the general uproar when the menus were changed and while I was not as upset as some I was concerned not about the food items but just the lack of variety across the parks. These menus don't look too bad and I know my kids will love them. Of course I have the kids who like grilled fish, yogurt and apples as much or more than they like chicken fingers, fries and mac and cheese.

I guess I think if as food to avoid until they are a bit older (since my youngest had food allergies.) My oldest does love tuna fish though. Also I worry about places getting it deboned good. I like whitefish and talapia myself (samon too if they do it right and it is fresh.)

Disney seems to do Salmon very well. I had it three times this week and just awesome! Especially LeCellier!

I am a little confused about the menu at CG. For 2 TS credits there is no appetizer choicefor kids? Am I missing something? I didn't see any listed on the menu above.

THANKS for posting these!:)

I have the kids menu from WCC. My scanner needs the drivers reloaded so I'll have to take a pic of it and come edit & post it. I was dissapointed that the 'dip it' wasn't on there becuase I was planning on ordering it for my little ones. However the older 2 and dh ordered the skillet so I didn't even bother to ask if they could accomidate the dip it - I knew there would be enough food anyways. oh and yes - the girls were allowed bottomless shakes as a drink on the DDP at WCC.

OK here's the WCC menu as of Dec 5, 2006

Thanks for posting this. We have ADR's for Feb. I don't think that this menu will be an issue for my DS.

No, they don't. We pay out of pocket there though, with no problem. I should have also have my kids share. Their prices for the kids meals are ridiculous! $7 for the mac and cheese, for the same mac and cheese every other place in Disney serves! Pizza was the same as all the other places too.

I have to tell you that those menus do not look as horrible as everyone thought they would! There seems to still be some "specialties of the house" in each menu. My vegetarian DD has her choice of 2-3 options per restaurant and that's all good for us.

My thoughts exactly. My ado about nothing, I say.

I'm so excited to see these new menus. I was holding out hope that things would e better by our trip in Feb. and I was right. My son will easily find something to eat on those menus.

My kids had no issues at all with the new menus. The only got one of the predone meals though, at Grand Floridian Cafe. The other places they did the pick your own thing.....as they had to have ice cream.

That is what i see as currenlty the new menus biggest problem, and the next thing they need to fix. It is just wrong to charge double for the same food at different places. It does't really effect us this next trip because we aren't going to any double credit or $$ places (other then HDDR.) I would pretty mad if we did though.

Do keep in mind that there is a difference between CS and TS (the service provided by the waiters and waitresses, and the bussers and food runners), and between regular TS and character meals/dinner shows (the entertainment charge).

The cost of the cheapest menu item, pasta with marinara sauce for example, sometimes represents more of the cost of running the restaurant than the cost of the ingredients. I'm referring to the fixed costs and even an allocation to profit.

I'd expect an identical menu itme to cost more at restaurants that include characters. I'd expect the identical menu item to cost more at a restaurant like the CG than at Kona. Restaurants sometimes charge less for kids not just to reflect reduced food cost but also to encourage famlies to patronize the restaurant. It's possible that restaurants like the CG don't need to provide deeply discounted kids meals in order to fill the restaurant. The lack of a kids menu, or a more expensive kids menu, is one way to orient one or more restaurants to the adult customers.

We were at WCC on December 1st and the menu was totally different, probably the old menu?? My daughter who is 6, had the fried chicken strips that evening (the only day she had them). She would have been happy with a few of those choices though. They must have just instituted that at WCC in the small window in between my visit and yours. Also, my DD was not allowed to have a bottomless chocolate shake and I was worried, they'd be mad when I let her have some of mine. I only had one glass of the shake myself though, so it's not like I kept ordering more and more. Those shakes are so filling!!
