Some in family AP, some not?

I am considering purchasing AP for myself, DD and DS as we hope to go to the last Star Wars weekend in June for 4-5 days (if we don't have too many snow days!) and again for 10 days in November. It seems cost effective at that point. DH will be joining us for the November trip only, so not cost effective to purchase AP for him. We will definitely be staying Swan/Dolphin in November on Amex points.

Question: Are there any things I should be wary of/difficulties that arise from some people in the party having AP's and others not? With reference to booking FP's or dining reservations or anything?

1. With reference to booking FP's or

2. dining reservations or

3. anything?

1. WITH all guests (including APers) having a WDW Resort reservation, No problem.
All can book FP+ at 60-days out.

WITHOUT all guests having a WDW Resort reservation, the APers can only book FP+ 30 days in advance.

Nobody in the party having a WDW Resort reservation, everyone can book FP+ 30 days in advance.
BUT, APers can only book FP+ up to 7 days AT A TIME. Then one added day of FP+ as each day is USED.

2. No.

3. meh

Yet, DBr & I are going down to visit DD the end of Feb. He and I have reservations for 4 nights at Pop. DD is NOT on the ressie although she and her AP are linked in my MDE. When our 60 day window opened, I was able to include her in all of our FPs. I was very surprised.

Robo...I'm confused about requirements for booking FP at 60 days, staying onsite, with respect to buying an AP. (Sorry, the rules of this game keep changing and I can't keep up with it.)

Do I need JUST an onsite reservation, not valid park media linked to book at 60?

I guess depending on the answer to that, I may have a further question: if valid park media IS needed...if I'm buying an AP to start using in June 2015, in order to make it last until June 2016, can I buy online exchange certificate earlier (before 60 days) and the clock doesn't start ticking until first use? Or buy a "regular" ticket (before 60 days) and upgrade to AP after using the ticket? Of course this is all irrelevant if only an onsite reservation is now needed to book FastPasses at 60 days.

I'm actually not sure about staying onsite yet, but being Star Wars weekend and June I'm thinking the 30 day difference in FastPasses might make that decision for me, especially having not yet ridden Mine Train.

TIA!

His ticket must be purchased before he can book anything and he must have admissions for each day he wishes to book a FP. I.e. If you are staying 4 days an he only has a one day ticket--he can only book one of those days because that is all he has a ticket for.

If Staying onsite, it affords all guests in the room the ability to book FP+ 60 days out. But each guest must have a valid ticket for each day of the stay they wish to book them.

And all you need is your AP voucher to be able to book.
We linked ours and booked FP+ before we actually activated the passes at the park.

I cannot answer for what happens if you buy one type of ticket and then upgrade.
