What makes you nervous?
min ok with dropping temp scans because they aren’t reliable..
but universal opening single rider lines for some reason the thought of sitting next to a stranger makes me really uncomfortable ..
anyone else have any specific concerns fears ?

Yeah I wouldn’t want a stranger sitting next to me. And if they tried to I would prob request that they don’t.

I don’t care about the temp screenings.

I think I would like them to keep mask requirements for indoor things (like shoes etc) for now. But dropping the outside while walking around requirement

Agree with wdwmom. I’m ok with no mask walking outside but hope they keep mask requirements for queues esp since they are only 3’ spacing now, and on rides. And indoors. temp checks I think were just Covid theatre. I enjoyed having personal space on queues and not having people right next to me with backpacks slamming into me!

Hi Hon
What safety precautions are being dropped ?
I searched and couldn't find any info.

The safety precautions at Disney and Universal are their own. Being private property they can do whatever they want. JMO but I think Disney will have masking rules for some time to come. With the money they lost over the past year the last thing they want is any sort of outbreak even if very small.

I agree that temp checks are somewhat useless....partially because infrared is not that accurate. We are temp checked 3X a day at work along with antigen tested 3X a week. People have passed the temp check but failed the antigen. We have also had people refused entry based on elevated temp who then had to go for PCR test and it was negative.

Well, by the time I’m able to go back (hopefully September) I’ll be fully vaccinated. So no concerns with things changing.

The Temp checks were pretty pointless. But it was a good stopping point to ensure people had proper masks.

I think in one day I had my temp taken like 5 or 6 times 🤦‍♀️ (I went last Sept & November)

I hope they drop pretty much everything and leave it to be optional. If you want to wear a mask then you do you, if you don't then go for it. Wouldn't mind them keeping the 3 foot spacing forever since I really don't want people standing right in my face anyway and getting rid of any "fill all available space" rooms and just loading directly from the que such as in philharmagic or the haunted mansion. I guess it would be a shame to not get the stretching room but I could do without just fine.

Not happening any time soon.

I’m honestly not sure how I feel. I’m kind of assuming when we go we are fully vaccinated, cases are on major downward trend and I’m ready to resume travel . So at that point a stranger beside me isn’t too much of a concern. I wouldn’t be going if I was still really worried about that because despite Disney’s best efforts I will come into contact with other people. It will happen . I’m taking a plane to get there... there is inherent risk.
I would like to see them keep masks indoors and anywhere outdoors that you can’t safely keep 3 ft apart like lines for attractions etc for quite some time to come.

I assume the dropping of social distancing may mean that Disney will be increasing capacity soon? Obviously I haven't been down for a while, but from pics and videos I have seen, the lines go for miles and restrict certain walkways. Dropping the social distancing will mean these lines go back to the way they were and shouldn't spill out of the original queue very often. I think its a good sign that we are heading in the right direction with everything. I hope it continues!

As more resorts reopen park capacity will continue to increase.

Looks like WDW is already increasing capacity and will do so even more shortly:

I can’t imagine going mask-less if my kids are not vaxxed and have to wear a mask ..
anyone else have thoughts on this ?
I don't care if the CDC dropped the mask requirements for fully vaccinated people. I can still get it and spread it. I'm masking and Social distancing UNTIL the vaccination rate is much higher. I don't want to kids sick just because the probably not die.

On Disney's earnings call, the folks at WDWMagic said they apparently hinted at no masks this summer. That could mean a lot of things...
