Please forgive the lack of food porn! I wasn't intending upon doing a dining review, but we ate at so many wonderful TS restaurants I thought I'd be remiss if I didn't at least try...

We are a family of four, myself, DH, and two girls, 5 and 3. My DH & I enjoy appetizers over desserts and usually have a glass of wine with dinner, so on our last trip we probably saved money by not doing the DP. I think this time around, we'd have been ok if we did the DDxP. DD5 often eats from the adult menu, so she would have been limited on the regular DP (not sure about the DDxP), and we ate at two fantastic restaurants not on the DP.

Cape May Buffet -- Yes, the crab legs are sweet and wonderful! Overall, a good buffet. Oreo bon bons are a sweet way to finish.

Yachtsman -- Fantastic! A friend who was in Orlando for business joined us, he and DD5 split the Porterhouse. DH had the rib eye, I had the Strip Steak, DD3 had mac and cheese. We all shared creamed spinach and the truffled mac and cheese. Our server Vicki was a pro. We had cocktails, and a bottle of Malbec so it wasn't cheap, but worth every penny.

Akershus breakfast -- Ok. Mickey waffles not included (was told they are just for allergies) so DD5 was a little disappointed. We were happy that the photos were included in the price. Food was average, but not waiting in line for the princesses (Snow White, Cindy, Ariel, and Aurora) is priceless!

'Ohana breakfast -- Much better than Akershus. Food was better, Mickey Waffles on the plate, that juice! Character interaction was a little better. We didn't feel rushed at all. Our ADR was at 10:25 so perhaps that made it a more relaxed time.

Les Chefs lunch -- Remy! So cute :thumbsup2 Food was very good. The entire staff was very serious about service. DH had escargot and adult mac and cheese, I had onion soup and chicken crepes, wonderful. DD5 had a burger (she liked), DD3 had pasta and chicken.

Tutto Italia -- We walked up (no ADR) and got a table outside right away (probably because it was 90 degrees that night!). I had lasagna & a Frizzante (? I think that's what it was called, Campari, Mandarin Juice & Prosecco), DH had fried calamari & Italian Margarita, DD5 had pizza, DD3 had pasta. The lasagna was delicious, but not sure if it was worth $26? Again, the staff was top notch, as in France. Food was good, but not a great value.

Toyko Dining -- A hidden gem! We walked in (again no ADR) at 5:30 to a half empty restaurant. Great service, and great food. DD5 had shrimp sushi (6 pieces), dd3 had miso soup and two pieces of shrimp sushi, I had a Midori cocktail (as did DH), an avocado roll, and the chicken/shrimp tempura combo. The best seaweed salad I've ever had, a great sesame dressing to it. DH had the shrimp/scallop tempura and was also happy.

Fulton's -- Wow. Great service, loved the magician waiter that walked around for the kids. DD5 had a lobster tail (uh huh!) that they included fries with for her, DD3 had mac and cheese (see the trend with her?), I had a glass of the Fultons White wine with King Crab Claws, side of creamed spinach subbed for potato. Claws were divine! Creamed spinach wasn't as good as the Yachtsman (a little watery), but who cares when you get to have the crab dip before! DH had surf and turf, filet and lobster tail. Everyone was very full and very happy at the end.

Il Mulino -- Saved the best for last. Two fantastic servers, and a wonderful overall experience. Kids meals were ordered right away so they could eat and be happy while we enjoyed the mezzo of salumi and eggplant. DD5 had pizza, DD3 had pasta with marinara. When they were done ice cream was brought out for them as well. DH & I split calamari as an app., I had the rigatoni with truffle oil and mushrooms, DH had the buccatini amatricana. Delicious. DH had tartufo for dessert and I had the John Dory gelato (chocolate and hazelnut). We each had wine, DH also had a Manhattan to start, and Limoncello to finish. I used a Rest.com $25 gift certificate that perhaps covered the cost of DH's glass of Gaja, but it was well worth it!

We ate at Peco's Bill's one day for lunch, good. Pizza Planet another day, fine. Most mornings we grabbed a quick bite in the CL at YC, and when we wanted dessert we could grab a small one in the lounge and the girls could have cookies there as well. We didn't have too many snacks this trip, but I had to have a Dole Whip Float one day!

Sorry for the lack of photos, but I wanted to share my experience of doing all these TS restaurants with small children. The girls were overall great and treated well by all the staff members. Don't be afraid of TS with kids! I was a little bit and found that they rose to the occasion and did wonderfully.

I haven't added it all up (gulp), but I think OOP was the best way for us. The regular DP would have been too many desserts, and lots of OOP for apps and alcohol and a few meals for kids off the adult menu. DDxP would have made me crazy planning, but perhaps would have been the better value. But then would I have booked Fulton's & Il Mulino? Perhaps not, and those were great experiences.

thanks for sharing, I'm so glad you posted Il Mulino (I got $25 for $2) and will be trying it for first time.

Great reviews, I really want to try Tokyo Dining and Il Mulino on one of our next trips.
