I'm wondering if there are exercising facilities on the ground? If there are, what do they all have, like treadmills, weights anything else?

Also, is there a lounge/bar on the property?

they have a small work out room in the main building where you check in, but we did not use it.....it always looks bigger cuz of the mirrors on the walls....smilawgs

Here's a rental website (haven't used them personally) with photos and a bit of info about rentals. The following quotes are taken from some other people's trip reports (Fairfield owners on the owners' Yahoo group).

"There is a fitness center with a full complement of Nautilus Weight Machines as well as pairs of treadmills, ergometers/bikes, stair masters and cross country skiing machines."

I know the "official" Health Club & Spa has not yet been built and it's at least a full year or two away (phase 4 - they're in phase 2, I think). This is just a mirrored exercise room.

"The village center does have a restaurant (they call it a bar and grille) open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner."

This is located in the Village building near the main pool, in a covered, open, outdoor seating area. They do serve alcoholic beverages at this poolside location, including tropical frozen drinks, but it's only open from 7 am to 9 pm.

If you want an evening lounge, I'd suggest ending the day at Downtown Disney/WestSide or the BoardWalk Resort. Either way, you'd end up about 2 miles or less from the resort. Cab fare from those back to the Fairfield Bonnet Creek Resort (if you need it) is ~$8-$10 plus tip, according to resort staff.

The resort staff is very pleasant on the phone. Their direct phone number is 407-238-3500. HTH! :)

Oh, I forgot to mention that they usually have a wine & cheese party (Fridays?) and/or a welcome reception (Sundays?) with a glass of wine or beer for each guest. These are generally free at Fairfield resorts and they are not sales pitches. They really are welcome parties, where you can meet other guests checking in for their vacations and ask questions about activities, area attractions, restaurants and tours, etc. We've really enjoyed these "welcomes" at several other Fairfield resorts. Ask if any are going on during your stay, when you arrive. Make sure to ask for welcome parties that are not associated with the sales department. HTH! :)
