I have it on good authority that ABD will be releasing their Med Cruise add ons in late November.

I have also heard that there may be a 1 or 2 day Adventure in and around Barcelona.

Finally, there is info out there stating that ABD and DCL will team up again in Alaska. This will be similar to the Med ABD add on.

I'm hearing December on the Alaska release.

Great news! I like the sound of the Barcelona add-on, but we already booked our flights. Guess we'll have to wait and see what they are offering!

Thanks for sharing!

People are so going to love the combo of the cruises and the ABD add-ons. It's *such* a fabulous way to do a cruise!

I'd heard from ABD that the add-on will be available for *all* of the Med cruises, including the 7-days. I'll be interested to see what they kept from this year, and what they've changed. And if the price has changed significantly or not...

I *REALLY* wish they'd had the Barcelona adventure this year!

I'm really going to be curious to see what they plan for Alaska. It's obviously going to have to be totally different than the existing Alaska ABD, as none of the locales are the same. But I'm sure they'll make wonderful choices. I'll have to experience this one vicariously!

I can't wait to see what they offer for the Med Cruise, I would really like to do it, but I want to go to Pompeii so that may change my mind.

Looking forward to these addons. We've actually held off booking any vacations for 2011 pending announcements for ABD/DCL combos. It sounds like the tough part is going to be deciding between Alaska and Med!

This is what we know so far....

The DCL add-ons will be released/available for sale December 14th

There are 2 different add-ons that we know of so far:

Med Cruise Add-on will include a 3-night Barcelona Escape before cruise and shore excursions during cruise.

Alaska Cruise Add-on will include 3-nights in Vancouver pre-cruise.

These add-ons will have shore excursion/exclusive adventures in each port – no details yet.

We are hearing that many of shore excursion offered by DCL on the Alaska cruises will be part of the ABD add-on and enhanced.

Thanks so much for sharing the news! I have been waiting (no so patiently) for the release of the ABD DCL add-on!

Does anyone know if I have to pay when I book the add-on or by the paid in full date?

I wonder if the 3 days in Barcelona is optional. We already booked our flights to arrive on June 17th (a day before the cruise) and will have to pay a penalty to change them (assuming there is availability as we booked using points:confused3).

Anyways I am psyched to hear a date that I can book! We are really looking forward to the DCL add-on! I need to mark my calendar!

I would think the pre-days would have to be optional. Tons of people have already made their flight arrangements and/or pre-paid for hotels for before the cruise. Not everyone can manage the extra days. That would be kind of sucky for folks who want to sign up, but can't get there 3 days early.

Last year, when you booked the add-on, you had to pay a separate deposit for it (the standard ABD $300 per person) and the rest was due on the Paid in Full date for the cruise.

Just got home from a trip to the World last night and I am catching up on all the threads and saw this and this looks awesome!

Barcelona is a wonderful city that Disney will do a great job. We cruised both in 2007 and 2010 on the Magic in the Med. and we chose pre stays in hotels which Disney had as a choice to book through them. First class hotels with the perfect location. Such history and culture to be explored as well as some of the best food in Europe. I would jump at the chance to add on if we would cruise again. On our last cruise in 2010 we were met at the airport by our driver and a Mercades (sp?...I don't own one) and driven to our hotel in style.:cloud9:

Does the DCL website contain information on the AbD Add-on trips?

IT has a bit of information and an itinerary but no pricing or anything. I was looking at it because I already have a 10 day mediteranian cruise booked, I took advantage of a 20 percent on board booking discount when I was on a DCL cruise in October. I doubt I will be doing the ABD add on as I want to do different excursions than ABD offers so I will do them through DCL

I'm pretty sure that itinerary has been there all along; it's 2010's itinerary. Now it may be that 2011's itinerary will be identical (for the 10- and 11- day cruises) but there's no guarantee it won't be changed come Dec 14.

I'm going to be interested to see what they have for the 7-day cruises. A couple of the ports are different.

I have heard rumors that the ABD addon cruise excursions, includes all of the photos taken on the cruise and additional ones taken by ABD photographers. If this is true, it would be a nice selling point to advertise, but I can't find it in anywhere in print.

The add-ons *do* include all your photos. All onboard, port and ABD Guide photos (ABD doesn't actually have "photographers". The Adventure Guides both take tons of photos during the trips, and will also take photos with your camera). If you look on the ABD site for the add-ons, on the "Overview" page, you'll see this paragraph:

What's Included?
This experience includes all shore excursions and meals, onboard and onshore photos and gratuities, a night of adult fine dining and wine pairing at Palo, private receptions and special activities on board the Disney Wonder™!
(or the Disney Magic for the Med)

You get a CD with the Shutters onboard & port photos on the last day of the cruise (or at least, that's when we got them this year), and you get a CD with the ABD Guides' photos a couple of weeks after you get home.

Thanks... been reading that page since it came out. Don't know how I kept missing it.

Thanks
