Solution to Smokers Breaking the Rules

I always wanted to show up with a HUGE can of Aqua Net hairspray. When the smokers start smoking where they shouldn't be, I want to start spraying my hair.

The down side is all that icky aqua net in my hair.

Tit for tat. ;)

Ooooh, that's a BAAAAD idea. That stuff is pretty flammable. That would quite literally backfire :lmao: on you.

Yes it's a joke. And it's my fantasy too! Not just with smokers, though, but with anyone breaking the rules.

For anyone who breaks a rule - ever??? I truly don't mean to sound insulting (or to hurt feelings) but is there any room for tolerance or flexibility??? I couldn't imagine living in a world where everything was so black and white. Many of the great changes in this country and the world came because of "rule breakers"

As far as people having a fantasy of spraying a fire extinguisher on a smoker or tripping kids wearing healies or other things I occasionally see mentioned on the boards - I've never understood the humor in being mean to another person.

And that could cause a fire!!!

Rule breakers (who KNOWINGLY do it) should be flogged. Hey, I'm not a total ogre. I got layers, like an onion.

I suppose you are talking to me since I used the word fantasy and with all due respect, LIGHTEN UP!

If I have a little mean spirited fantasy going on in my own little head once in awhile I guess I'm the ONLY one who ever does? :rotfl:

So inside your head it's all sunshine and lollypops all the time, I guess...;)

edited to add, I have not, to date, tripped a child on a heely or sprayed a smoker with anything, anything at all. :goodvibes

Not much sunshine and lollypops going on in my head, but not much going on in my head about being mean to others either. If I was going to fantasize about it, I think I'd rather fantasize about being the rule breaker than being the mean one, but that's just me and my fantasies, to each their own.

Besides, I'm not saying people can't have mean thoughts, I'm just saying I don't find the humor in it.

I admit I smiled. I could tell it was a joke when I saw it... sometimes I wish I could do that as well ;)

(and no I don't go in smoking areas and start coughing. However I have bad reactions to smoke, so if I do cough while in a non-smoking area it's not an act. If I walk by smoking areas, I walk quickly and hold my breath)

You know what else would be funny? When non smokers wonder into the smoking area and start all that dramatical coughing and fanning of the hands, it's my fantasy to tie a plastic bag on their head and blow smoke into:rotfl: Doesn't that sound funny?

OT, but that reminds me of what happened last time we went to Typhoon Lagoon. I was walking through the smoking area without thinking (doesn't bother me except make me want a cigarette). At that exact moment, I must have choked on spit or something and I started coughing dramatically and was practically doubled over from it. When I recovered, this smoking woman was staring at me, horrified. When I realized where I was, I assured her that I wasn't doing the fake cough, nor was I coughing from the smoke and we had a good laugh over it. She said people had been doing that to her all week, even though she always obeyed the designated areas. :sad2:

That's what I do, too, but even that got me in trouble the other day. I was walking into the doctor's office and there is a bench out front with MANY no smoking signs. There were two ladies sitting on the bench smoking away so I just put my hand over my mouth and nose and walked past them. One of them yelled at me to stop being so dramatic. Sometimes you just can't win.

I'm thinking it's probably against the rules to spray someone with a fire extinquisher, so you choose your kinds of rules to break and I'll choose mine! :)

I found the smokers video about as humorous as the fat people at Disney video. Neither are funny.:sad2:

Well, everyone breaks rules at some point in their life. We're not robots. And some rule breaking is for the common good - Rosa Parks is a perfect example of that. Everyone is mean at some point in their life also, it's part of being human. There have been times that I've been mean to others, but those aren't my prouder moments in life and it's certainly not something I would fantasize about or get enjoyment out of. But that's just me and my opinion. Someone posted a link to a video that they thought was funny, and I was stating my opinion that I didn't think it was funny, I thought it was mean. To each his own.

Look I'm just clowning around here. I guess you are really serious about this.
Please believe I would never harm anyone. I am extremely sorry to have offended you.

Yea, because it is SO hard to simply mention to someone that smoking isn't allowed in that area and it is SO worth getting charged at minimum with battery and most likely sued for the medical bills...

:confused3

Unfortunately MOST people smoking in a place where smoking is obviously not allwoed--like sneaking a smoke in a bathroom--is most likely going to get beligerent when it's pointed out that it's a non-smoking area. I saw that happen at WDW this past weekend.

That's funny!!! I'd be afraid my hair would go up in the resulting inferno though... :scared1:

Bolding is mine.

Or pulled down some kids pants that are most of the way there anyway. :thumbsup2 :cool1: That is what my DH always wants to do. That one really bugs him.

I haven't seen the link yet, but I have played it in my imagination many at times before someone posted it on Utube and I think it is funny, and a joke. Lighten up people (not light up!)

BTW I don't even think you can buy Aquanet anymore. I looked the other day, I needed cheap hairspray to take out a ink stain. It wasn't at any store i could fine. Ah the days of Aquanet mist in the girls room. I never needed it, just the over spray from friends! :rolleyes1

Have you conducted a study?
