Deffinately do it! I am. My first solo trip will be next Feb. I'll be with people for 4 days and then by myself for the next 4. Last time I went I got annoyed that I felt rushed when I wanted to take pictures. I found that the times I went off on my own I really enjoyed myself. I havn't done a TS by myself but If the food is good and I'm thinking about my day, I can't imagine I'll feel strange at all. I'm looking forward to doing some of the things I havn't been able to get a group to do, like tours and shows. I'll be doing a couple tours and La Nouba which I've never seen before. And taking lots and lots of picures, I may even lug my tripod around! And nobody will be there to roll their eyes at me and stare at their watch while I set up a shot!
I'm pretty shy and I found it didn't bother me that people didn't talk with me, and when they did they were kids or adults asking about my pins, which was a guaranteed conversation starter.
I don't need others to entertain me or keep me company. I need some solo time every now and then.
