I was trying to sleep in (with do not disturb key in the door) but darn if the housekeeping in the NEXT room being all loud and banging stuff didn't wake me up anyway. :(

So I just kept the key in the door and took another shower- this time putting makeup on. What the hey. LOL It's not often that I can do that without it taking hours because I have to stop every microsecond to do something with/for the kids. :)

(I have to say that some things I really enjoyed without the kids on this trip, but by this point I was really feeling some major "missing you" pangs and if I could have gotten a flight out that day or the day before... without it costing so much for another ticket, I probably would have. At this point I was feeling kinda "trapped" in Orlando so to speak... but not ALL the time. Not every second of the day, only when I thought about it. LOL Yanno?)

Called husband and kiddos... messed up my makeup with a few tears (they weren't crying but I was.... I was missing my babies!!) and then head for Coronado Springs to take advantage of Pepper Market with this handy dandy voucher I'd earned for going through a "60-minute" DVC tour (that really took almost 2hrs. LOL)

Magical moment: I was the only one on the bus so instead of having to go to DTD and then on to Coronado Springs- he took me directly there! Like a Limo-bus. LOL But this is only because there was no one on the bus but me- even after going by Movies after Music. :)

I really like this resort..... EXCEPT FOR the fact that it's humongumous (LOL) and wow... you could really be out in the "boondocks" like miles and miles (it seems) from the main buildings and food court! LOL

Anyway... Pepper Market is divine. Oh to have a food court like that at All Stars. HAHAHA funny, I know.

I go the ribeye steak with potatoes and rice (substituted for the veggies they had since I didn't like the looks of them) and a delicious chocolate mousse dessert -all free with voucher. The total was like $26.50 I believe... so with a voucher (that normally costs $11.25 but I got it free) it's an incredible deal! (not to mention others have mentioned that at PM they were able to get even ANOTHER side dish even though the meal came with a side dish or two like mine did! Wow!)

I took half the steak, potatoes and rice with me in a container. I mention this for a reason. LOL

So then I took a bus to DTD- which got there to pick me up quickly but with all the stops it makes it took FOREVER to get to DTD and the bus to FW isn't that speedy gonzales either. LOL I get there at 6pm and this time I know how to find my way to the campfire thing.
This time I also have my gloves, hat and that bag that is really a blanket that can be a poncho or pillow too.
LOL
Oh and I brought my smores kit back- but I forgot the sticks! Woe is me... a nice CM gets me another stick so I don't have to go break one off a tree before I pay for another darn stick.
LOL
Hey, I'm from rural Texas- we don't pay for sticks to roast marshmallows around here... any little branch will do. LOL

So I'm settling down all nice and cozy with my soda in one hand and my roasted marshmallows on a stick in one hand- blanket and gloves ready if it gets cold...... but it's a Tigger movie. Wish it could have been Swiss Family Robinson. LOL Such is life.... I watch it- and only needed the gloves (ofcourse) and probably could have lived without them. It wasn't nearly as cold this night as it was the other night. And then head to the bus to take me to the front depot to get on another bus to DTD and then to another bus (getting the picture here? LOL) to get to the resort......................... and on the last bus I realize something. I had left my steak/etc leftovers container at the bench at the first bus stop I had waited at on my way back to the resort -in FW.
*cry*
Darnit.
Back to the foodcourt for the same ole chicken parmesan and spaghetti- this time getting smart and asking for no dressing on the salad please (but had to wait awhile for that) and buying my own dressing from the market $10.62 -then back to the room to buy yet another $1 soda at the machine (did you count how many times I used the refillable mug? I think like 3 times now so far. LOL) and watching tv while planning out the next day.
Missing the kids at this point pretty badly and since I'd gotten rid of that "gotta get back to WDW quickly and do the things we missed" bug pretty much.... I was ready to go home! But I couldn't.
On the other hand I was also getting anxious to make sure I did everything we hadn't done before because I didn't want to get home and start regretting not doing this or that.

Wow, did I actually go a day in Orlando without going to the parks AT ALL the entire day?!? I guess so!

journal ramblings:
ps. stupid ac/heater noise kicking in every few minutes and scaring me awake just as I doze off is really annoying. I have a hard enough time going to sleep -insomnia- than to deal with that! But I can't sleep freezing, so I must endure the racket to have heat in my room.

on to the next day!

I like the food courts the best too......thanks for a day without the parks ....it can be done.......
