And they should renovate the "and Spa" building so the gym can use more of the space. A steam room, sauna, showers - would be welcome additions! What else is all of the space in that building being used for?

We’ve just come from BCV to SSR… and the SSR rooms, food selection and views easily beat Beach Club. Yeh, you can’t walk to a park, but everything else is perfect!

Guest: Can you help me make spa reservations or show me where to go to take care of that?

Cast member: We don’t have a spa. You can go to the Grand Floridian for that.

Guest: But you just said…

Cast Member: That’s just a name to make us sound fancy. Technically there are no Yachts at the Yacht Club either.

Guest: Umm what?

Cast Member: Have a magical day!

I hated BWV other than location and the actual room itself.

I've actually seen several YouTube videos where the host points to the spa and says that they have a spa at the resort. These were made in the past year. It's always interesting to see vloggers that give out wrong information.

Any idea how long Paddock pool, play area and grill will be closed? We have a Nov stay and got this email:
August 2025
...In an effort to continually enhance the Guest experience, it is necessary for us to refresh our offerings from time to time. In preparation for your upcoming visit, we would like to inform you that The Paddock Pool, its aquatic play area and The Paddock Grill will be unavailable due to routine maintenance during your stay...

I can't see to find any refurb notices on the disney website yet.

I know some have posted about happy hours at Disney springs but I have to say summer house must have one of the best right now. Definitely check it out. You can't beat $4 local craft beer drafts and $10 Martini's

Staying here right and just remembered how much I like Saratoga. I should get more points lol. The value is amazing.

Staying at Congress Park. They definitely should’ve added some small bar/food kiosk here. At minimum a refill station. It’s a long walk to get to the main building. But the convenience to Disney Springs is hard to beat.

I’m down here too at AKL, which I’ve never stayed at before and we are having a great time. However, I am so happy I am making SSR my home resort. Besides being beautiful and relaxing, there’s just so much to do - especially with the proximity to Disney Springs like you point out. As a golfer, being the only resort with a course on property is also a massive plus. I’d love to come back to AKL for sure, but again and again as a home resort? Give me SSR all day. Happy camper.
