Mickey wake up call at 7:15am.
On the bus to MK at 7:40am and then monorail to GF but it took FOREVER and I barely made it at 9:15am at GF (which I had to walk to the spa and was supposed to BE THERE 15min early for the 9:30am appt! Fortunately I made it just in time before they cancelled me yet charged me anyway!!!). Man that took a long time! Monorail from MK to GF takes forever. Don't do it.. just say no.

Hindsight: boat would have been faster. Lesson learned.
I was nervous and afraid I'd be embarrassed to be in JUST a robe in front of other women... but some of them were walking around naked (even bending over to their lockers! I swear I wasn't looking... I walked out of the bathroom from changing and that was the sight I came back to. egads!!!) so I got over my embarrassment quickly. Atleast I had a robe on! LOL
It was very nice in the ladies lounge and I had a little coffee and relaxed until.....
A MAN CAME IN TO SAY MY NAME TO GET ME...... a man! Uhuh. no way. Sorry man.. I gotta have a woman! You'd think she would have scheduled me with a woman after all my apprehension the day before when making this appt and her having to reassure me that they keep a towel up to not see you naked/etc!!!
So they send a woman (Bonnie) to come get me and I'm majorly relieved... did the body scrub (and I was covered with towel and not embarrassed) and then a nice warm jet bath. It was wonderful!
Then back to the women's lounge until Michelle came to get me for the facial.... it was heavenly! Either she is really really good or I should kick myself for not having a facial sooner. LOL
I wished I'd gone with a longer facial instead of just 25min. I really wanted to go to sleep after that facial. LOL
(paid at front purchasing some of the items she'd used for the facial and leaving both big tips- I hope they actually got them! I hate adding tips on bills like that... I always wonder if they really get it..... and I realize later that even though I had remembered- finally- to ask for my 10% discount that comes with my PAP- that they didn't do the discount at all. So even when I remember- I don't get the discount for having the annual pass! *sigh* LOL)
Anyway- then over to GF Cafe for breakfast but I was a few minutes late and at first they said there is NO way we can get you breakfast and you eat it in just 30min. I said hey... I can eat fast! LOL (and I can.. sometimes you don't have a lot of time to eat when you have 3 young children. LOL)
So they agreed to seat me right there near the front and said the waitress they assigned me was fast (and boy was she!) and the food was delicious. I just wish I hadn't had to rush so much for a $20 breakfast (non-character LOL)
So then off to the salon and she didn't have to wash my hair since I had washed it earlier that morning. (ie: this means it was cheaper- which made me happy. LOL Cheaper always makes me happy- even when I'm splurging).
I really wish I had wrote her name down in my journal- but I didn't.
Her name is on the tip of my tongue but I can't remember it. She was great and we had a great "conversation" the entire time she fixed my hair and face. She did the makeup first and since she is dark complected (and I'm not) she used what she had in stock which was neutral/brown tone makeup. I didn't realize I look better in darker/brown toned makeup! Hey, I can't help it that my hair is darker now... I still FEEL like the blonde I was for the first 20yrs or so of my life! LOL
She fixed my hair- a bit "curlier" than I would have done it- but why not try something different?
Then the monorail to Epcot (thru TTC ofcourse) and it was sooooooooooooooo slow. I was done at 12:30 at the salon and did not arrive at Epcot until 1:55pm. I don't call that anywhere near fast- do you? LOL It was because they were stopping at every stop and sitting there for 15-20min each time. I wasn't the only one wondering what was going on either. Since no one was getting on at those stops others were verbalizing their disgust with sitting there so long and were actually getting up and looking out to see what was going on/etc. I still don't know what happened but I tell you what- I'm not getting on another monorail if I can help it. Definitely wouldn't stay at a monorail resort and consider that a BENEFIT/plus. NO way.
The AS buses are much faster.

Tried to call husband and the kids but no answer (the reason why comes to me later) and I had my jacket with me (the big one- since it was colder earlier) - as well as the stuff I'd bought at the spa- so I rented a locker and stuck everything in there. Why not have some time at Epcot without carrying around the backpack? (even though it is small) Notice the key has NOTHING but the key, no string or pin or anything. So I have to stick it in my pocket and hope that I don't lose it by it falling out?

First I decide to do the Leave a Legacy tile (finally using a discount with my PAP) but while in line another person gives me their ticket... I guess they had a dream package and didn't need one for both he and his wife since they were both in the SAME tile... I'm sure to be flamed for "lying, stealing and cheating" by accepting that coupon and getting the tile for free. Please don't alert the authorities. LOL
I got the tile free, but Disney didn't lose anything. What difference does it make if those people had put two tiles on there or put one themselves and let me put one? Same difference.
I'm so bad.
But I love free. Free and me get along real well. LOL
And this totally made my day. Thank you stranger, whoever you were.

Head over to world showcase (other side this time) and ate a kids meal at San Angelo Cantina ($3.73 but hey... chips without salsa? What's the point? My kids don't eat chips without salsa. LOL But the burrito was large- plenty large enough for me and probably too big for any of my kids... can't beat the price!) then looked at blankets that can be a bag with strap, ponchos OR be used as a blanket or pillow (when made like a bag- just stick strap inside). I'm all about things being more than just one thing. Sounds like a bargain to me! LOL So I buy one... (with the only thing I had on me- the resort room key LOL So handy...) $20 -to be prepared for the next night I try Ft Wilderness and it gets all cold on me. LOL
Rode the boat ride @ Mexico and on that ride I realized- WHERE'S THAT LOCKER KEY? I know I stuck it in this front pocket of my jeans... but it's not there! Where oh where is it? Head over to the lockers just sick to my stomach that someone has found that key, with the number on it, and stolen everything from the locker. Hey, at most places this would have happened! (everything in locker would be WDW "letter jacket" type jacket, backpack with wallet with everything in it including DL, credit cards, money, etc., as well as all $200 worth of stuff I'd bought at the spa.) I get back to the locker room and the only thing I can think is that I must have set it down when I tried to call my husband again- but it's not there by the phone. So I go back to look at the locker and see what might have been LEFT... and
the key is in the locker. My heart sinks... thinking someone found it and stole everything. But
no.... I had just left the key in the locker that last time I stuck the phone card back in there obviously after trying to call my husband the 2nd time! Everything is still there!
I consider myself very lucky and decide to return the key and get my deposit back and take the stuff back to my room. Apparently I can't be trusted to keep up with that key and I don't want to carry all that stuff around! LOL
But before I go- I
A) notice a couple looking around like they want to get a key for a locker so I explain to them they get the keys for the lockers in the camera shop- but they walk over to find a locker that isn't locked and just stick all their stuff (purse, jackets, etc) in that locker and WALK AWAY? It's unlocked... their stuff is just sitting in it unlocked. Is that common practice at Disney World? LOL
B) decide to lug all my stuff with me to check out Innoventions again (still can't find the Zerox exhibition- is it gone now?) so I decide to send another postcard email to my sister and my husband.
Bus was there but the walk to the bus, then the ride to the resort (short ride) and then the walk to the room took almost an hour. My feet hurt. Curse this room on the other side of Broadway!!!!!

But hey... my hair is fixed, I have makeup on and my skin is oh so soft and pampered feeling. So I'm feeling pretty relaxed after the spa treatments also.
Tried to call my husband again at 4:30 and no answer THEN it dawns on me...... hello? Earth to me... that's 3:30pm his time and he's not even off work yet! For some reason I thought he was off work that day and should be home. LOL So I wait a bit and call again -talk to him and the kids.
Start heading back to Epcot around 6pm - meeting DMRick and her husband and her friend with her daughter at 8:45pm @ Epcot to watch Illuminations and then eat at Beaches and Cream. Got there at 6:40 (see how must faster those AS buses are?) and went around the countries just looking at displays & china acrobats, etc. Tried a multi-layered/flavored margarita... (does that have alcohol in it? I don't think so..maybe....) and even though it was quite chilly out- somehow holding that frozen drink didn't bother me. Okay so maybe it does have alcohol in it. LOL
Met DMRick and crew around 9pm and watched Illuminations through the trees over by the boat dock. Then over to Beaches and Cream (DMRick was kind enough to let me buy a voucher from her- THANKS!) and had the prime rib sandwich (delicious-but big and seemed a waste for just one person) and then had The Kitchen Sink and OHMY..... it's huge. Totally could not even eat 1/10th of it (if that) and it felt like a huge huge waste. I still feel bad about that. I can totally understand them taking that option off the vouchers there!
Then we all checked out Animal Kingdom Lodge (it is dark, but I liked it) and back to the resort at @12:30am (they drove me in their car- thanks!)
Oh back to the room to another interesting LifeTime movie that I must see the end of - last note in journal was at 2:03 and the show was still on. This means till atleast 2:30-yanno? LOL
Set wake up call and alarm for 8:30am because the plan is to meet DMRick/etc for breakfast at the foodcourt at 9am and then all head over to the character store at the mall.
on to the next day!
