Hey all!

I'm going to WDW in January for a week with extended family. I'll be in my own room, and there are a few nights that I'll be free and on my own for dinner. Any suggestions for good restaurant choices for solo diners? Generally, I'm more comfortable eating at the bar when I'm solo than at a table. I'm thinking perhaps somewhere in DTD as I'm staying at POR?

Thanks for any help!

I myself have eaten solo at House of Blues and Wolfgang Puck's Express. I didn't sit at a counter or anything, at House of Blues they sat me at a table for two. I tried to sit at the bar but it was too busy. Wolfgang Puck's I just grabbed a table outside. You can grab some mini corn dogs from Casey's in MK, sit on the large patio outside and people watch.

At any restaurant I check the bar first to see if there is seating because most will serve their menu at the bar. I have also heard Jiko has a nice counter, I know if I ended up solo I would try to eat there since I like their food.

Many of my DIS friends love the Tune In Lounge in 50's Prime Time. I had the opportunity to sit there this last trip with them. The bartenders are very friendly, I think that is a good solo place to eat.

If you have access to it, there is always ordering room service and sitting on your balcony (if you have one) :).

If I was solo I would also hit Epcot World Showcase. Snack and shop around the world. The counter at Beaches and Cream would be a nice option as well.

At DTD, I enjoy Earl of Sandwich. If it's not too cold, sit on the patio with a sandwich/soup/salad and glass of wine and watch the world go by. If going to a table service restautant you can always take your park info with you and review tomorrow's plans between courses.

Awesome work guys!!! simply amazing. Anyone have any tips to getting started with this sort of thing? stock photo sites, how you do things ect. I'd love to give this a shot next time so any info would be great
