I'm going to be going to Disney for the first time ever in October...and I'm flying solo.

I was going to do both the Halloween Party and the happiest haunts tour, but I want to have a few nice dinners and maybe do the Fantasmic dessert party. I'm starting to feel like the evenings would be too packed and not relaxing enough for me.

If you had to do one as a solo, which would you pick? The tour and front of the line privilege for several rides, or a Friday night Halloween party with trick or treats and stuff.

I'm mostly looking to do rides and not interested in characters. I'm also not overly fond of crowds, though I can manage.

I personally would do the tour. I think it would be more fun than attending the party alone. (It's on my bucket list to take a tour sans my yapping kids) We did the Halloween party every year, until 2 years ago. We just didn't feel it was worth the additional cost anymore.

I would do the tour also. I'm all for solo travelling, but I think the Halloween party would be one of those things that would be way more fun with a friend.

I think the tour would be a more fun solo activity. And the tours all sound so fun!!

On days with MHP, there is a tour that includes the Party :teacher:

Yes, I saw that. But you actually lose 1-2 hours of party time; not sure if it's a good value. It also sounds pretty tiring.

Thank you all so much. I was leaning towards the tour and I'm glad you all seem to agree! :)

if you're solo, definitely do the tour! I want to do that this year, i heard it's amazing. :)

I'm going to disagree with everyone and say PARTY! That's what I did last year. I went for a few days and decided to spend my last day doing some other stuff in the morning, doing a late character breakfast, and party all evening. You can get into the park 3 hours early so it's a great time to get a few rides in. I'm a cosplayer so it was awesome getting ride and character photos in my costume. Going solo really is a lot of fun. Go with whichever option is better for you. (Or just flip a coin, that works too.)

I would have to say tour and party together. We did this a couple of years ago, the tour is awesome by the way! After the tour we watched the parade, saw some ghostly singers near Tom Sawyer's island, watched fireworks and just wandered around looking at the characters in their costumes. We did a second party night for trick or treating and rides. Why just pick one when you can do both? :goodvibes
