Solo Dining Review, April 9-13, 2007

Great reviews, although I'm surprised you said you weren't much of a "fine diner" - you sound like a foodie to me! :goodvibes

Oh, I'm a definite "foodie" - at least in the sense that I love eating and talking about it! I just happened to grow up on fast food and canned stuff, so I'm still learning about the finer aspects of the whole experience. :)

Mmm, Boma. Whenever I tell DS we can go out for dinner; where does he want to go? - he always tells me Boma! (Then I have to dash his hopes and remind him that he needs to choose a restaurant in our hometown.) Enjoy!

If you like the GV tea blend at the GF they have it for sale there. I just purchased some in February. You just have to ask your server and they will go and get a tin for you in the back.

Wonderful reviews. I agree about afternoon tea, we have always used this as a meal, either late lunch or early dinner depending upon the time. Do take your kids. This last trip we were part of a grand gathering of 15, so only the "ladies" went to tea. But on all our other trips traveling as a single mom with a son & daughter we all went & my son enjoyed it a lot.(Of course having a mil who is English helps, my kids have grown up as tea drinkers) Devonshire cream is incredible, the 1st time I ever had the real thing was on a trip to England in 1981, my mil & I ending up eating it right out of the container with spoons! This upcoming trip this summer I'll be with my son & a friend of his, while they're at DQ, I'll just have to have tea by myself.

Thank you, thank you! Not only can I get that tea, then, I also have a great excuse to go back soon!

I just had a cup of it myself and it was yummy. Definitely worth taking a tin home.

Your reviews were wonderful. I really enjoyed reading them. Thank you.

Fantastic reviews - not too wordy, just perfect. I like the sound of the filet at Jiko but I detest mac and cheese so that isn't going to happen any time soon. WPE is on our list for August and you've reassured me that it's a good choice - so thanks :thumbsup2
