i would love to go to one of the water parks when im down at the world for my solo trip. i would be going the first day i get down there. this may be my only chance because when my family goes to the world they dont ever want to go to the water parks. so my question is has anyone gone alone before? Im worried that i may lose my room key or something like that. do they have lockers that the key could easly be put around my neck so it doesnt get lost? or should i just skip the water park and go to dtd?

The locker key, if I remenber correctly, goes on a band around your wrist. It is worth doing, but always more fun with another person, especially on the lazy river raft floats. In the wave pool, however, you are on your own. The slides, too. What the heck. Go for it!

You actually have a few options.

The safest, of course, is to rent a locker since the key is on a band on your wrist. However, be sure to make note of your locker number in case you lose your key as it is possible for the lockers to be opened by a manager. (There has to be a procedure to open lockers where people don't turn in their keys at the end of the day and leave an empty locker locked so there can be future availabilty.)

You can bring with you, or purchase at the park, a waterproof plastic box about the size of a cigarette pack which is designed to hold money and cards and other small items (such as a watch or even small cell phone).

You can take a chance, fairly safe, in having a beach towel and keeping something such as your room key under it. Since the key does not actually have your room number on it (and the resort itself is in a code) it would be useless if someone takes it. You could get in your room, and a replacement issued, by working with Security if it became missing.

Although not on a solo trip I did visit TL solo and loved it.... There is so much to do and most of the time you can do this things on your own (like all the great slides and a good swim in the wave pool)...

I had so much fun on this solo trip I had to go again within the same week...

about the key, all is said already, so no worries

Enjoy

I just visited Blizzard Beach solo last week and I had a blast! Lockers are available, and probably a good idea, but I decided to tempt fate and just left all of my things indise my beach bag underneath my chair. My things were untouched and I had a wondeful day. Enjoy!
