Sold Out Park Reservation Tips?

Due to heavy rain, I’m trying to change our one and only park day from Tuesday (4/21) to Wednesday (4/22). I know Disney in the rain can be some of the best days, but my autistic daughter has some sensory issues especially around wet clothing. I have been refreshing frantically and have found openings for every other park besides Magic Kingdom for 4 people. If anyone has any tips (best times to check, etc.) it would be greatly appreciated!

Same ‘boat’. Trying to change our Tuesday park day to another day, AK opened up this AM for Monday but not what we are looking for. Going to keep checking and hoping

Unfortunately there are no patterns for obtaining park reservations. What you are doing by trying constantly is really the only option. Many are in the same situation for various reasons so the demand is very high. Just keep doing what you are doing and hopefully something opens up for you to switch.

I am in the same boat as you I need to find Magic Kingdom reservations but for a different date. My question is how long do you refresh for? I never have luck with stuff like this lol

Can you change maybe 1or 2 of you at a time? I think you might find more chances that way.

While I appreciate that approach, it would be done with the risk that the party would end up with park reservations at different parks on the same day. There is no guarantee that eventually all would be able to move which would mean their party would need to split up for the day.

Keep looking! Or, you could start at one park and hop to MK later. This is what we decided to do when we couldn't get HS.

Yes, none of it is guaranteed. But you are already taking a risk because you have to cancel a current park reservation to try. I would cancel Epcot and then keep trying for 1, 2, 3, and 4 people. If all the parks start filling up before you get everyone in, then just switch everyone back to Epcot.

We added a day today for this coming Saturday, I had no luck on my computer trying to get Epcot, switched to my phone just to see and I was able to get it.
No rhyme or reason for sure.

Dumb question alert-

I see some of you mention that you are looking at availability for 2, or maybe one person. How are you seeing availability per group size? I have just been refreshing the park availability calendar, which isn't associated to a group size (right?). What am I doing wrong?

I was able to score the ADR I wanted for a day in May that I have another park booked so I have been trying to trade reservation days without any luck at all.

The park availability calendar is not updated real time. It is recommended you try to actually book a reservation if you have the ability to do so.

To the OP, sometimes guest services can work magic, in particular if you can visit in person.
