Good morning. I know I've seen a couple threads re price increases on the sold out resorts. Well, it was just confirmed by my guide this morning. He said via vm that BCV is going to $101 (whew!). Tried to call him back to see about the other resorts, but got his vm. Sounds like they are all increasing, but by varying amounts. Will let you know if I find anything else out...

They had a meeting this AM and JUST (as in, about 10 min ago) got out.

They were getting final word on the "start" UY for AKV, and the price increases for sold our resorts...as well as some other stuff taken care of.

If you do get through to your guide, I'm curious if the price increases will initially apply only to nonmembers. The last time there was a price increase, members could continue to add on at the old prices for a few months. Just wondering if that will be the case with this price increase as well. Thanks.

Sounds like the increase is for members too. Reason is that we're in the process of signing docs for an add-on at BCV. I had a quick question before we mailed them back, that was the reason for the call. He said via vm "good thing this is already in process b/c we just announced a price increase"

I was told Saturday that the price increase for sold outs applies to members that do not have standing waiitlist orders in as of 3/5

This is what I was told as well. We got on the waitlist for BWV for 50 more on Sat. I hope the wait is not too long. We have an Apr. UY and would love those extra 50 for 2006.

I talked with my guide this evening and he was talking with his management at the time about this rumor. The price increase for the sold out resorts applies to prospects only. The prices for members will not increase until June. He said that the different pricing tiers for different people has become very confusing for the guides.

Oooh, I hope that your guide is correct! We want to add 100 BCV points on and haven't gotten on the list yet. I suppose I should call my guide and double check! Keeping my fingers crossed!

Does a person need to put any money down to get on the waitlist for a sold-out resort? The reason I ask is we are thinking of a BCV add-on but may change our mind-planning on hitting OKW and VWL and viewing VAKL on next trip to say we've seen them all and know for sure we want BCV. I'm inclined to get on list for BCV now to "lock-in" a price but don't want to committ 100%.

My experience was that they require a credit card number to put you on the list. This will be charged a deposit of $500 when the points are available. However, your guide will let you know that they are available before the card is charged so that you have the opportunity to decline the purchase. At least that was my experience when we tried to add on, but by the time the points were available, we could not buy them.
