Anyone ever use a solar powered product for the car that is supposed to cool the air so that the car is not too hot when you return to it? I bought one without actually thinking (yes I know I should not have done this), and you have to have the window open a crack, and it says on the package that it is not useful if it rains because it will rain into the car and get everything wet. Of course the ad did not say that online when I bought it. I am thinking about returning it but then have to pay the shipping charge. Anyone have experience with this? I also bought a cover for the steering wheel which seems perfect, to keep it from getting too hot.

I bought this and used it last summer. Works ok. It doesn't cool your car; it sucks the hot air out so when you get back, things are still hot but not HOT.

I saw it on the local (Chicago) news last year as an investigation. They determined that it did not work and wasn't worth the money. I thought it looked like a great idea, so it's too bad it doesn't work. :( I would probably return it.
