Soggy Dollar MORNING Excursion

We are booked for the Soggy Dollar Bar excursion off the Magic on Sunday 11/17. We've been to Soggy several times but this excursion is 7:45 AM to 12:15 PM.

Has anyone done this specific excursion? Do we LEAVE JVD at 12:15 or are we back at the ship at 12:15? Is Soggy Dollar even serving in the morning?

From other ships we've always arrived early to mid-morning but weren't headed back to the ship until mid to late afternoon.

Anyone who has done this and can give insight would be appreciated.

Just don't want to spend the $160 and not be able to enjoy a painkiller and food.

We did this excursion, at that time. I can't remember what time we got back onboard, but I do know the bars were all open. A few little stands opened about half an hour after we got there.

We have been to JVD on our own off Fantasy. The bars and restaurants were open mid morning when we got there.

We did this excursion in May. Soggy Dollar was open within a few minutes of us arriving on the beach. I can't remember what time we headed back... Maybe it was the Painkillers... LOL But as soon as the second excursion arrived and were off the little transport boat, we began being transported to the ferry. This excursion was nice because we basically had the whole place to ourselves. Things started to get busy around lunch. Crew on this excursion was great as well. The Painkillers were flowing all the way back to the ship.

We did the Jost Van Dyke excursion and did the Soggy Dollar on our own. Wow, what a beautiful Beach!! If you are a fan of Kenny Chesney, then you'll know he visits there often and even filmed his "No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problem" song there. To us, that area alone is worth it. I'm a little Jealous.

Soggy Dollar is open for drinks, but doesn't start serving food until 11. The morning excursion starts the transfer process to return to the ship about 11 (11:15?), so you won't be able to get food there, but you definitely can get painkillers. You will be back at the Fantasy by 12:30 or so.

Our JVD excursion was the highlight of our last cruise. We just did the half day visit but probably wished for longer.
One tip, where the boat leaves you off, there is a bar with loungers that you are encouraged to use on the boat crossing to the beach. The staff there were very rude, only offered soft drinks with the drink tokens and were very cheeky when I asked for the Wi-fi password. My tip is to keep walking up to soggy dollar. The staff there were much nicer and it was less packed. The Wi-fi was free with no password required
