Has anyone heard when SOG will be opening. I see in the web site it's now supposed to be MArch. Anyone have any info?

I called them just last week because my reservation confirmation got lost in the mail. They are suppose to be opening in March 2004 (didn't give a date). I think thats a very conservative "guess-timation", because they don't want to change the date again. Me and my two boys have reservations for 23-29 May...can't wait to to see the "new and approved", tho I've never seen the way it looked before!

We were just there, and tried to go look at the construction. We were turned away at the gate with a flyer saying "Coming in March 2004." Also, several people have mentioned getting reservations then and later.

 

[Needs Motivation]

My parents booked a few rooms for a "grandchildren reunion" in June '04. I hope things don't get pushed back as it's going to be hit-or-miss if we can even get down there any time next summer.

According to some other posts I've read, SOG must be up and running in March. The reason given was Disney would no longer set aside rooms at the Contemporary (or elsewhere). So I think their backs are against the wall with that March timeframe.

I think it would be a bad sign if they start pitching tents in Feb ....
