SoG Rates Rising Again!

Yesterday, I found out from my source that room rates will be rising again (isn't this like the 3rd time in 2yrs??). These rates will, supposedly, go into effect for resvs after 10/1/04. My source could not tell me how bad the damage would be, but I imagine it will be just a few dollars, as it usually is.

For the family with the handicap person: I had told my source what was mentioned here on the boards and it agreed: it didn't sound right. The source offered to give me the telephone number so I could pass it along (it's not a secret number or any thing so, no one would be doing any thing wrong). However, the source forgot. The source is taking a little vacation so, it will be another couple of weeks before I can attempt to get it again. If/When I do get that number, I will put it here.

As always, any thing of importance about the hotel I find out, I'll post.

It seems like they always go up a little bit each year and it is more unusal when they don't increase the rates... (Although, I thought most of the increases took effect at the first of the year. )

I believe we paid $89/night back in 1998. On SOG web site (for us) Std room rate now $98.00 (prior to 1 Oct, it was $95.00) and effective "Dec", it will be $101.00 (std) $111.00 (poolside). We could care less about the poolside view, so over 5-6 years, an increase of $12.00 is not outrageous. But...What percentage are they supposed to go up in Oct 04?

Just booked Nobember 2004 at SoG to go with my DoD GS-14 sister so my DS, who will be 8, can go with her DS's 13 & 7, and DD's 13 & 8 (yes, she has two sets of boy-girl fraternal twins!), and the rates were $102 and $104 each for connecting rooms. I have no idea of the view.
