My wife has a serious addiction to Dr. Pepper and seltzer water (club soda). Does anyone know what kind of fountain drinks are available in WDW. Specifically BLT, as that is where we're staying and will be using them the majority of the time (although I believe we can use them at Contemporary as well). Thanks!

Only Coke products. I'm a Dr. Pepper addict myself so I feel her pain. I'll be taking a trip to a gas station to pick up a few bottles to get me through.

Thanks! I don't get it but I need to keep her happy :lovestruc

Anyone know about the seltzer water/club soda?

There won't be any Dr. Pepper, and I have never seen club soda at any resort drink station. Disney is under contract to offer only Coke products. Dr. Pepper isn't a Coke product. The previous poster should also know they won't find Dr. Pepper at the Hess stations on WDW property.

BLT has no refill station inside the resort. You will have to take the mugs to the pool bar or into the Contemporary to have them filled.

There might be a button to get just carbonated water out of the machines.

I just found this picture of the Contempo Cafe refill station and I don't see a button for just carbonated water. The one I do see is with the Lemonade and would be for plain filtered water.

There is a button for water on most of them (I know the one at BCV does NOT dispense water). But the water is not carbonated. it is plain filtered water.

I'm not meaning to sound mean and/or rude in any way but after doing so research on the matter, I found that the Coca-Cola web site says that Dr. Pepper actually is indeed a Coke Product. Not to mention that I work somewhere that offers Coke Products and we carry Dr. Pepper. So if Disney doesn't offer it, then it's probably just because they choose not to carry it. I don't see how it's not considered a Coke product. If I'm incorrect on the matter then please feel free to elaborate and share more info because I'm interested to see what there might be! Thanks! ;)

Dr Pepper is sometimes bottled by Coke, and sometimes by a different bottler.
I *think* it varies state to state(at least this is the way it used to be).
In any case, there's no DP on-site at WDW. If someone is drinking only Dr. Pepper or club soda, the refillable mug may not be the best deal(unless you really like the design on the mug).:earsboy:

I'm bummed about no club soda. My niece (3) and myself only drink sparkling water and we will be staying @ the Contemporary in a few days. We're getting mugs but you can only drink so much Coke before you make yourself sick/thirsty! I'm glad they have the brewed iced tea at least. Just a thought... the table service restaurants at the Contemporary will have club soda on tap behind the bars, maybe you could ask nicely if they will fill up your mug? I think I may try that.

It's a convoluted relationship. You can see some info here -> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dr._Pepper_Snapple_Group about the parent company. Pepsi and Coke both distribute many brands that they themselves do not manufacture. The distributors already have relationships with many stores and small/new brands often find it easier to piggyback on those relationships.

The closest drink to Dr. Pepper is Pibb Xtra and in my opinion you can't even tell the difference because they taste virtually the same. Plus it's a Coca Cola product and you could purchase at the very Hess gas stations located onsite in WDW or grocery stores like Publix.

I was gonna suggest this. I thought it was Mr Pibb but........It is the same as Dr Pepper!

Its weird, if you goto the Coke site it does list Dr Pepper as one of its products.

It also lists Canada Dry as one of their Drinks but only in the following areas

Available in the following locations: Bahrain, Barbados, Bermuda, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Curacao, Dominican Republic, Georgia, Great Britain, Guatemala, Honduras, India, Japan, Lebanon, Nicaragua, Northern Ireland, Panama, Qatar, Republic of Ireland, Republic of Korea, United Arab Emirates and Yemen.

So maybe Coke does own the rights to Dr Pepper but may only in like Yemen.* :)

But anyway no Dr Pepper and definitely no Mt. Dew.

* OK did some checking Coke doesn't own the Dr Pepper name in the US but pretty much everywhere else in the world. It has to do with antitrust issues and Coke monopolizing the soft drink biz in the US and somehow involves Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys..

I'm also a big Dr.Pepper lover. I usually just carry along a six pack and that gets me through my addiction. To the original poster. Epcot carries a very popular soft drink called " Beverly".It is to die for.

Not in Florida. In Florida it is distributed by someone other than Coca-Cola. The distributor varies by location. I think it may be Pepsi in Florida but I am not sure, I do know it's not Coca-Cola.

saying they taste the same is like saying...

Pepsi taste same as coke....they dont

Sprite same as 7-up...it doesnt..

Miller lite same as Bud light....its not

they are not even close...
