First stage of Playhouse Disney rebrand to Disney Junior has been announced. (source @insidedlparis) You will be able to meet Jake and Sofia in the pre-show area after the 29th September.

How exciting!!! Can't wait for stage 2 when the whole show gets changed!

When I wrote the article about this yesterday I just called this stage 1 and theorised there may be a stage 2 - don't take this as a confirmed 2 stage redevelopment, just my thoughts on what might happen.

4 days ago I announced that the rehab would just be a name change and a new intro music (should have been more precise and say it was also pre-show related), I also announced that the show itself would not be updated (no new characters) and that the character update was not on the table.

you begged to differ, saying you had been told otherwise by a show director

Today, all of what I said is confirmed (show update, aka phase 2 is still not on the table). Does this mean that the show director does not know what's going on in her own show ?.

sorry about this, this is not a personnal attack, it's just that if you don't have accurate information, don't write about what you wish for as if it were true.

now that's very good news about the character meet&greet, it's a good thing if it's been confirmed.
too bad they downgraded the show to only 5 performances a day, 3 in French 2 in English.

but it's one step in the right direction, even if it's just one small step, it's a step nonetheless.

I said the show will be changing and I stick by my word. Maybe not at this precise moment in time but it shall be getting a whole new show as well.

Stage 2 will commence in the near future.

Things don't happen overnight at DLP, you should know that.

The competition winners dates are the 13th September and they are attending a party at one of the hotels where they will meet Jake and Sofia.

Jake and Sofia will then meet in the Pre-Show area after the 1st stage of the PHD upgrade.

As far as I know it's for the foreseeable future. They might move outside once the whole attraction has been upgraded.

I'm so excited about this for my daughter who loves both Sofia and jake. I started a thread a little whole ago begging DLP to bring these characters to Paris.

I know that people without young kids may not see the point but trust me, jake and Sofia are huge! I've been a Disney fan since I was a kid (29 now) and I had a younger sister (8 years below me) so I grew up through the old cartoons then bear in the big blue house etc for her but there was never anything like Disney junior now. Disney have been so clever to create a new girl princess and a boy pirate. The marketing is huge for them.

I can't wait to see my daughters face when she meets them. I dressed up as Oso and our friends dressed up as handy manny and buzz for her 2nd birthday party last year and she loved it. We did that because by the time we can afford to go to disney world (where they have these characters) they will probably have been stopped. I hope they change the show here too. Chloe watches a DVD that I made from YouTube f the Disney junior live on stage from Disney world every day!

Anyway sorry to bore you all. I'm just so excited for my girl

looks like a one time event starting september 13th.

So far there is no news or even rumor of Jake and Sofia coming to DLP on a regular basis.
But I would assume that, if the costumes are there, they might use them in the future (or not ...)
So far there are not even plans to upgrade Playhouse Disney Live on Stage to Disney Junior Live on Stage, let alone see Jake, and even more so see Doc and Sofia.

Let's hope someone has better news

I wish we was going a month later now. DD is obsessed with Jake she got very upset when I told her he wasnt in Disneyland as she said she wanted to hug him. We are there 2 weeks before he arrives Fingers crossed I win the competition for her
