sofa slip-covers?

Anyone ever use a sofa slipcover to freshen up a couch? Ever use a *Sure Fit Pearson*?

We have a sofa in the basement we'd like to cover. Its made well and still firm, but has some wear and tear we'd like to cover up.

The problem is, it has two cushions. My understanding is slipcovers, especially the Sure Fit Pearson, still cover both cushions together, even though just one piece? Anyone know, or use one?

We have a Sure-Fit cover for our couch. Yes, the cover is 1 piece, so the entire couch and individual cushons are covered by that 1 piece, not individually.

My MIL told me to put empty paper towel rolls down in where you tuck in the fabric. I can't remember if I ever did that or not but I remember having to tuck and adjust often. We are looking to get a new slip cover for the same loveseat we used to have one for and I'm sure hoping we get a better one than ten years ago!

It ties on sort of like a giant apron. Yes, you can tell it is a slip cover. For us, it was a way to get more life out of a couch that our cat had clawed the fabric on the arms. They are very much like the slip on covers you put on car seats.

To PP atwommy, does one piece just fit over the (two) cushions and the other on the frame? And then how are they tied, the same way as others?
