Soda and Fruit Juices Should be Banned

We don't drink either fruit juice or pop in our house and I agree both are bad for you and offer little to no nutritional benefit. I wouldn't ban either but would like to see more education about the negative health benefit of sugar.

I do support banning them in schools (banning sale, not what kids bring themselves) and think there should be much more attention paid to the nutritional value of food in schools even if it costs more.

People quote that all the flippin' time. Yet after living decades in a downtown core, it simply does not jive. Gym use/workouts possibly, but not movement..

No one, well let's go with hardly anyone, living there is overweight. Yes overweight does not mean necessarily unhealthy numbers, but chances are better.

And no huge percentage of people.have these stellar diets there. It is not just my city of course, it is cities all over the world.

Because of daily movement. Up.stairs, down stairs, leaving the car at home, carrying bags. Walking for hours and not giving it thought. Destination biking, carefree biking.

All the little daily movements that happened in your charts pre-80s. When we opened garage doors and got up to change the tv. And not so elevator and escalator based living, as is the case in many countries.

And this has nothing to do with cities. People.workimg the land, doing construction, people in the country living the same lifestyle blah blah blah - daily movement is beyond our use of the word *exercise*.
I had an uncle by marriage that I considered an exemplary person. He farmed by day and worked in a Kelloggs' factory by night. He died at a relatively young age from a heart attack. He didn't smoke or drink and was of normal weight. The sugary cereals in Kelloggs didn't kill him but overwork and lack of sleep did.

So instead parent parenting the answer is for society to ban things?

Is that what I’m understanding ?

Just had a thought. Once we move onto electronic currency, and we pay for everything with our phones, our health record can be attached to our bank account. If someone is overweight or has high blood sugar and tries to buy high sugar/carby food they can be stopped at the register and forced to put it back.

Who can I send my idea to? The CDC?

*This post is purely joking around!*

No politician will ever allow that to happen!
They would have to explain we’re all the money came from!

Some would love this.

And I'm not joking around.

No really milk makes me sick…. I can’t use it for anything …. But steak or veal…..🥳. Please don’t ban steak…. I let the OP ban fruit juice before steak

ok we can agree to keep the cows as long as we can both agree that coffee is really just a healthy bean soup.

Wait is coffee bad for you?
I don’t really care what you call it,
Just don’t try to ban it….. I don’t have a Bible so I put my right to have coffee right next to my right to have guns
