I am meeting my Sister at DL. She is a resident of SoCal. Will she be able to purchase the $99.00 2 day ticket for herself and my family if we are going in together? Where is the best place to purchase this. Right at the gate or before? Thanks

I'm pretty sure each adult using a SoCal ticket would have to show proof of SoCal residency before entering the park, not just at the time of purchase.

Someone may know for sure how they handle this at DLR.

Most of the time as long as one person has ID its okay. They do allow you to buy them for visiting friends/relatives, depending on the type of pass.

So would it be better to show up with the passes or buy them at the gate?

Link is too long but
"• May purchase up to five (5) tickets per person per day with valid ID. "

There are black out dates
TICKET IS BLOCKED OUT March 30, 2012 - April 15, 2012 and June 4, 2012 - June 5, 2012.

Definitely buy them before so you don't waste time in a ticket line. Have a fun trip!

Actually, if they are purchased beforehand, no ID is required from anyone at the gate. I had to call just the other day on this one because my grandma, who lives in SOCAL, is buying us the 3 days park hoppers (with her socal discount of course). She is disabled and cannot come along. The CM on the phone told me that it is no problem at all, she can simply buy them online (of course she has to put in her southern california address for the proof of residency) and then give the tickets to us. He said this happens all the time and they will not ask for ID at all upon coming to the park. I had to make sure since there is no way my grandma can actually come, due to her disability.
