Hi All!!!

This is my first post. My husband and I just got married this past February and our DREAM honeymoon is to go to WDW. We finally managed to get time off work and we have 3 weeks to explore all Orlando and the surrounding areas have to offer.

My parents recently gave us their timeshare in Orlando as a wedding present, so hotel accomodations are not an issue. I've never been there, so I have no idea how far it is from all the attractions. We're planning on renting a car, so transportation isn't a problem either. Yes, we've been saving up for some time for this, and we're ready to go all in.

Any suggestions would be great, and they don't have to be limited to WDW. Perhaps someone could make us a sample itinerary :hehe: just kidding. Now that our honeymoon is fast approaching, it seems like 3 weeks is too much for me to plan. I'm sure it will go by faster once we're there.

Also, any Southern California residents know of any good deals as far as flight reservations? We are set to leave Sept 9th and are returning Oct. 2nd.

Congratulations on your recent marriage! With 3 weeks, you should have more than enough time to fully explore our happy little town. The main attractions are, of course, Disney World (Animal Kingdom, Magic Kingdom, Epcot, and MGM Studios, along with their water parks, golf courses, Downtown Disney, etc.), Universal (Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure and CityWalk, SeaWorld, and Busch Gardens (in Tampa). There's also smaller-scale, possibly-cheesier things to choose from: Dolly Parton's Stampede, Medieval Times, Arabian Nights, Pirate's Adventure, Old Town, the many tourist-y surprises along I-Drive, etc. I would recommend lurking on some of the other boards of this site, as well as visiting sites like frommers and allears(.com; not sure if I am allowed to post links yet!). I've lived in Orlando for 9 years now, so when the time gets closer, and you have more specific questions, feel free to PM me! Good luck and have fun!

Congrats!!!

After visiting all the theme park, it's worthwhile to explore Disney resorts such as Polynesian , Grand Floridian and Boardwalk Inn. Their surroundings are all beautiful .

WOW, Congratulations!!!!

For the sake of the arguement, you might want to ask this question on the trip planning board;;) ;) ;) there they have lots of advice for where to go and what attractions and what order... If you post the name of the resort your parents timeshare is at, we can look at the logistics of which place is closer. Also it might help determine which water parks you go to. We will also want to know a little about you. For example, if you are a Roller Coaster Freak, you might want to spend extra time at Islands of adventure (In US). If you are very innocent, there is a presentation called the Making of Me in EPCOT (although the show is now only seasonal) which I always recommend to newly married couples;) ;) ;).

Suggestions: At WDW, first of all there is a book called a passporter (the edition for Walt Disney world) I think there may be one for the Orlando Area.

Oh, and since this is your honeymoon, When at Disney, get the bride&Groom mouse ears. It is a must for all honeymooners to wear; you will be congratulated by lots of people and it has been known to get an occasional mention in in a club, or even a free dessert...

So, tell us about yourself and we might be able to give you more help...
