I heard that Soarin doesn't have a Fast Pass. Is this true? What is the best strategy for riding it?

It definetly does have a Fastpass. Just get one early and ride as early as you can if you don't have one, because the lines do get long and they do run out of FPs.

Also, if you are not afraid of heights, try for Row 1... it is the best!

Soarin' does use the FastPass system, but passes are often all gone by the early afternoon.

I think the best strategy is to get a FastPass first thing in the morning, then go ride Test Track and Mission Space while waiting for your FastPass time.

if you don't have a fastpass for this ride you will be waiting a very long in the standby line. The best strategy is get there when park opens, get a fastpass, ride the ride and then use the fastpass if you want to go on the ride again. It is an awesome ride.

fweew... I got a bit worried there when I heard that 'rumor'. Thanks for the hints!

1 more ? If I hold a FP for soarin, can I get another FP in an hour, even if my ride time hasn't begun? (just trying to refresh my memory) TIA

We were at EPCOT on Thursday night....for EMH...got a Fast Pass with a 7:03 return time. This was around 6ish...so not all fast passes are gone by the afternoon.

We walked onto Soarin' on Sunday...before world showcase opened...the wait time said 20min...I doubt we waited more then 10.

We rode in rows 2 and 3...both awesome.

That was because the parks are very slow this time of year. I was there this weekend also and I agree they did not run out FP and I also did not wait for than 10 minutes. However that is very unusual. On busy days Soarin often as somewhere between a 60 and 90 minute wait, and FP's are often gone by the very early afternoon. Your experience is the exception not the rule.

Does Soarin' have a single rider line like they do at DL? This worked great when we were there in Oct '03. The standby line was well over an hour, we walked right up to the front of the single rider line and were on in 10 minutes!

No they do not.

3 weeks ago we got FP for Soarin then got in line figured we'd get 2 rides with little wait.

We walked on to Soarin the 1st time no wait and as we was getting off was told if we wanted to stay on and ride a 2nd time we could. Then as we was getting off the 2nd time we was told we could stay on and ride the 3rd time. Never did use that FP lol

The walk back to get on Soarin is a long walk!!!!!!! Sure saved us some walking by being able to stay on 3 times without actually leaving.

Soarin' is like a combination simulator and Imax show. They load you into seats and lift you up. The movie is then projected on a huge screen and makes it appear that you are flying over the sites. Quite an interesting and enjoyable ride. What I found fascinating was that I was myself picking up my feet so they wouldn't get wet in the water! :goodvibes
Everything about the ride makes it seem you are right at those places...including the smells.

Your Soarin' FastPass will have the time you can get another FP printed on it.

Soarin does have a fast pass, but you might get lucky like I did this past August. I didn't have to use it either times, because the lines were less than 30 minutes.

Don't miss the ride it is really awesome.

Love this ride!! Between fast pass, EMH nights and just walking on we were able to do this ride 8 times in August. As others have said, don't miss it.

ENJOY!!

Tomorrow's WDW Today podcast is all about Soarin' and includes some great info on it (also a fact you may not have known about Soarin' at EMH) so you should check it out at http://www.wdwtoday.com

I sometimes get motion sickness. Do I have to worry about this ride?

A lot of people here have said that they tend to get motion sick on rides and they had no problems with it. Actually I don't think that anyone has posted having trouble with it like that. If the movement that you see starts to make you feel iffy, you can just close your eyes... the movement is just inches this way and that.

We got a pastpass and then got in line and got right on, and then it was time to use our fastpass but since we already ride the ride about 6 times in 2 days we were tired of it so we waited for a tired family of 5 and gave them to the dad and he happily tookthem, since his kids were fussy.
