Soarin????

I keep hearing people talk about a nre ride called Soarin.. Apparently I have been asleep at the wheel, what exactly is this attraction and where is it located???

If you do a search you can find previous threads. This future ride will be located behind the Land in Epcot. You sit in what looks like a hang glider and they fly you over the state of CA. You are sitting in front of an IMAX screen. There are scents, you feel like you are soarin. Great ride.

When is it due to open? What will the height restriction likely be?

It's a copy of the DCA ride and the height requirement in DCA is 40 inches. I think the WDW version is supposed to open early next year or in the spring. It's an amazing ride. I've been on it at DCA more than 50 times and I never get tired of it.

I was just looking at the DL site and I thought it said a 48" height restriction. I must have looked at it wrong and I'm glad that it's 40". Hopefully it will be open by Jan 2005 when I hope to bring my 10yo son to WDW, but that seems unlikely. Thanks for the info!
