Soarin or Test track as FP+

I am a little torn as to which Epcot tier 1 attraction to pick for FP+.
As of now we are doing only one day at Epcot.
I am going with DS (5) and DD (10 months) plus both grandmas. I think we can do everything DS likes in one day.This time he will be able to ride both soaring and test track for the first time.

Rope drop is not an option, we are transferring from AoA to the Swan that day. I am planning to do 3 FP+ plus an ADR between check out and check in, go to the resort around 4 pm and take DS only back ~6:30/7, so I can do one of them late in the evening (we can skip the fireworks that night).
This means both grandmas will only get to do the one we chose the FP+. DS will get to ride twice the FP+ attraction, since we will be using child swap.

what would you do? which attraction will have the longest line around 8:30 pm?

Assuming you are going sometime after Soarin' reopens...

I figure it may be a toss-up.

Soarin' will have THREE theaters in operation, but it will also have a new movie, so it will likely be very popular.

Both lines will be long but I would do a FP+ for Soaring, since it will be new with the refurb completed (I think it will be done when you get there) and I believe the ride would be more appealing to your entire group.

And, Test Track does offer a Single Rider Line, if that fits your needs.

FP you and your son for Test Track, and both grandmas for Soarin, and get a rider swap for Soarin for you and your son.

Soarin, depending on two things,
1. TT has an interesting que, where you design you car so wait can be bearable.
2. Soarin que is BORING. My hope is they will have something to entertain you while you wait with the update alla Pooh and PP.
3. TT used to break alot.....if this is still a problem.....then all bets are off.

This. But wouldn't they also be able to use rider swap at TT? That would get everyone on everything, just not together. Her son and her ride TT with FP, then him and grandmas with rider swap. Then grandmas on Soarin with FP, and him and mom with rider swap?

Yes. I don't think I finished my thoughts. I'll blame that on basketball. Lol

And actually... If they wanted to take it a step further... If son used one of grandma's magic bands for FP on Soarin, he could ride with one grandma, then second time with mom and grandma 2 via rider swap. This is how we used to work Epcot before littlest DS got tall enough for both.

We won't be able to use rider swap for TT, because both grandmas are staying at the resort with the baby
and only DS and I will be coming back to Epcot for the evening.
If I get lucky maybe I can book TT as 4th FP, but I bet that never happens.
If the queue is interesting it will totally help

Does TT have to be in the evening? In the afternoon you could prebook 2 FP for Soarin and then immediately after that 2 FP for TT. Use rider swap at both and then everyone rides everything.

Also... FWIW... The grandma in our family LOVES Soarin. Rode Test track once and now chooses to sit that out.
