Do not miss this on your next trip we are just back and it was so wonderful I really felt like I was a bord, soaring over beautiful california. Make sure you go! We went right in after opening, got fast passes and had done it 2x before 10 am It was great! :cool1:

Have to agree. Rode it back in May during the preview and then again a couple of weeks ago.

:cheer2: :Pinkbounc  I agree..It is absolutely wonderful...one of my most favorite attractions/rides...Can't wait to go on it again during my next trip to Disney! :cool1: :cheer2: :Pinkbounc

i read somehere if you are scared of hights dont go?

how high is it? ok for kids?

how are you "strapped in"
I think you go up about 40 feet, but there's 3 rows. Row one goes the highest. I didn't get the feeling that I was up all that high. There's a belt and then there's a loop you can put the belt through for little kids, but adults don't need it. It's awesome! One of my favorite rides! :goodvibes

I also have to agree SOARIN is GREAT!!
My DD5 loves this ride. We did SOARIN in Disneyland this past June and loved it. This was her favorite ride ::yes:: We can not wait until MNSSHP in Oct.

I agree. It's such a great ride. I found it really relaxing, and I loved the scents of pine and orange. :goodvibes

Is there a height restriction?
40in, and if they are 40in and sit in the seat and aren't as high as a mark on the chair, they have to loop the seatbelt through a middle section.

I loved it too! I got a chance to go on 2 weeks ago and it was great! Once you go up you do not relize that you are up that high (if you are in the 1st row) You just sit and are amazed at the movie!

so front row is best for the "non hight" effect?

How can you make sure you get 1st row lol

All rows get the height effect. The ground isn't visible to you, so you don't really know if you're 10' or 100' up, unless you lean way out to look.

BTW, I'll be interested to see how it is, once they run the new movie. The current movie is Soarin' Over California.

I don't think row really matters, but if you ask the CM, I'm sure they would accomodate. You may have to wait a little longer though.

Sorry to be the lone dissenter here, but both my wife and I agree that Soarin' is nothing to write home about. Anyone who waits in line for this ride is in for a big disappointment. The only way to do it is with Fastpass - not worth the wait.

IMHO you get a better experience at an IMAX theater - more realistic. If you look around you can easily see everyone else around you in their seats, which spoils the illusion of "soarin". I'm personally somewhat afraid of heights and this ride didn't even bother me once.
