Is Soarin a hard FP to get? I don't feel like staying up until midnight so if I just do it in the morning, will there still be a good selection? Looking to get one for mid-afternoon.
The only few that I'd stay up for midnight for are A+E and 7DMT. If you're 60 days out, you shouldn't have a problem. Only less than 30 days in would I see an issue. Mid afternoon slots also don't get taken as quickly as morning time slots, in my observations.
If you can't get the time that you want for the first few days of your trip try working back from your last day. A&E and 7DMT and probably the hardest to get and you would need to do them at midnight. Next in line is probably Soarin and Toy Story Mania but you should be able to get them at the time you want.
I can't do all my days at the same time at 60 days out. We are only staying one night at Pop on our first night in Orlando (the rest of the week we are off-site), so I have access to book all my FPs 60 days out, but only one day at a time. So, I have to log on and book my Fps everyday for a whole week, so I am trying to avoid having to be up till midnight every night. Only want to do it for the necessary attractions and rides.
You shouldn't have a problem. I've had a few last minute trips to Disney this year and managed to get a FP for Soarin with only a few weeks notice. I wouldn't worry and as someone above said- if it's not available at first, then just check back in with MDE every once and a while.
Never had a problem getting Soarin fps. There will definitely be plenty of choices to choose from if you wait till the morning to do them. I just booked my fps two nights ago, and have been tweaking things since and I have Soarin fps for 3 of my Epcot days and have no problems changing the times around.
Highly dependent on when you are going. Low season, I would say relax. Christmas day? I would say stay up. Sounds like you might be coming up on your 60 day mark soon... if that is so, then I would guess you can book it when you get up in the morning.
Got my Soarin FP this morning no problem! Tonight is the mark for my HS day, now I have to decide if I want to stay up for the TSMM FP. Not sure if that is a hot one too or not.
I haven't had problems getting Soarin at either the 60 or 30 day marks and the only thing I'm likely to be doing at midnight is sleeping. I usually get Soarin sometime mid-late morning and I've even had no problems changing the FP time when my plans change. I'm sure it all depends on how busy things will be when you go, but I wouldn't sweat it too much.
Also to answer te question, my daughter spent our whole Epcot day in the medical center. She was so sick. We asked our hotel front desk if there were any for any other day we were there for soaring and we got next day no problem.
