Soarin from Scotland to Mickey ;-D ~ June 2009

I love the bracelets. The mickey one is too cool. I bought a $5.00 mickey stretchy bracelet last year. I love it, but is to tight. I think they are the best deal at WDW.

:bday:
Just wanted to say a BIG Happy Birthday to my little Katie!
She is 3 today and has had a lovely day - fast asleep now in bed and I am just left to clear up the aftermath! 3 years has passed too fast!

party:

Happy Birthday Katie!!!
Congrats on your weightloss! I'm TRYING to eat better. Still need to get to the gym or out for a walk. It rained today, so...
Sorry that you have conerns about your little one and the parks. It is always a factor with little ones. You'll just have to play it by ear and hope that she doesn't freak!:scared1:
Your Mickey bracelet it TOO cute!!!! I love doing jewelry. My problem is, I get into the bead store and just go brain dead. I have NO idea what to make, but want to buy everything!

I do that too!!!! Its really hard to concentrate on buying what you need when you have such a huge choice.

Happy Birthday to Katie!!! :bday: Did you have a big party for her? May is such a beautiful month for a birthday!
Ok, I must say that I love your bracelets that you have made! Really pretty! I think the colorful one that is on your arm in the photo is my favorite. The painted Mickey one is cute too! Great idea.... I am with lmillercrew, I get overwhelmed with the bead selection and then don't know what to buy. :confused3

Hi all!
Not much Disney planning going on here so thought I would give a weight update! Another 2 lbs off here!! Starting to feel the loss now and am really looking forward to a monster shopping trip with my Mum on Saturday to get everything I need. Will be expensive I can tell!

I did order some Crocs thong sandals (not sure of the name) but they are very comfy and glad I got them. I bought them in brown but my friend got them in white and pink and they are so nice - might have to get a spare pair!!!!

Katie being doing some organising herself. She has given her beloved Monkey a Disney makeover! Here is a before and after shot of her best friend and snuggle bedtime buddy!!!!! Lets call him from now on - Monkey Mouse!!!

He is scruffy but I think he scrubs up nicely. Poor little Mickey doll now has a bald head and no Mickey ears though!! She doesn't seem to care!!

Hope you are all good!

Monkey Mouse! I love it.

Your trip is coming up so soon! Have fun shopping.

Yesterday was exactly 1 month till we leave for our holidays!!!!!!

A month from today we will be waking up in our Gatwick hotel and flying from London to Orlando. We will arrive at MCO about 3 and pick up our two cars and drive to our villa in Windsor Hills. On arrival we will unpack the cars and dump the cases before setting off to Publix to stock up on food and drink.
When we get back we will have no chance in preventing the kids and probably the men form getting in the pool and having a swim. After something light to eat for dinner we will probably head to Walmart for our customary wander round. This has 2 purposes. The first to get our fix – we miss visiting Walmart!!!! But also to try to stop the kids form sleeping too early. The time difference is the US is 5 hours behind. So if we are in Walmart at 7pm our girls think it is midnight. They have prior history f waking in the middle of the night announcing “Morning!!!!!”. Not good! I think Katie has the record last year of a wake up time of before 4am. So the later they can stay sleeping the better.

And that will be us! Arrived, fed, watered and sleeping ready for a full funpacked 2 weeks in the Happiest Place on Earth.

As for my planning Mum and I went to Glasgow yesterday shopping and got most of our clothes for our trip. We shopped till we dropped and by the time we got back to the car our hands were sore with carrying bags and Mums feet were on their last legs!!!! We had a great lunch at a tapas restaurant and a cheeky scone with jam and clotted cream in the afternoon to re-energise us!!! (diet went out the window!).
I managed to get lots of bits and bobs and feel almost ready to go. Got some nice tops and a lovely dress which I plan to wear to the California Grill for the surprise night.

The girls stuff is completely bought except a few pairs of shorts for Emma. I bought her an old fashioned fan today as she has been saying she would love one. It is pink and she loves it. So if you see a girl “flittering” (her words!) her fan – come and say Hi!
Some other people were not so grateful for a gift. I bought DH some black flip flops which I thought would be great for wearing to the pool. He looked in the bag said thanks but he will take them back. He doesn’t like them and refuses to try them on! So ungrateful! Next time he will get nothing!

So the suitcase that I brought down from the loft is full to bursting so I am going to persuade DH to bring another one down and start the packing with earnest.

The other exciting news I have is that I handed in my notice on Friday. As you may remember I am starting a Primary teaching course in August so will be finishing work the Friday before we leave for WDW. So I have 4 weeks notice to work and then, after 12 years as a pharmaceutical rep, my new beginning will start! What better way to start than a trip to WDW.

Anyway, I’m off to get something useful done. DH and Emma off hill-walking today and I have the wee one to entertain. Going to go for a run this afternoon to make up yesterdays excesses! Then later I am going to help Emma write to her new penpal which she has made through the DIS! She is going to write first and is very excited about having a penpal from the USA.

With 1 month to go am going to try to update more often.

Hope all are well
Lx

Not long now. Sounds like you and your Mom are having fun just preparing for the trip.

Your DH sounds like mine. He told me to buy him new jeans and then doesn't like the ones I bought. :confused3

Your plans are coming together! Glad you were able to shop till you dropped! I hate it when I go shopping and I can't find anything!
