Hey, All!!! :wave2:

We just got back from our trip to WDW!! Woo-Hoo!! We had a blast!!! We had a few mishaps with a little black cloud over our heads, but NOTHING gets me down in WDW! :teeth:

I just wanted to pass on a word of advice to all you folks going to WDW soon. The two new rides - Soarin' and Expedition Everest - are completely packed! I mean insanely crazy packed! We went in May before the big crowds, so I can only imagine how it is now. Both rides are sooo AWESOME!!!! They are definitely a no misser!!! So, once you enter either EPCOT or AK, head straight for these attractions and get your FastPass. Otherwise if you wait too long, then your FastPass will be for the evening or you will be looking at a 90 minute wait.

Even if you go straight to the line when the parks open, you will probably be still looking at a 30-40 minute wait in the Standby line. So, get your FastPass, and then go do your thing and come back. It is sooo much easier since these are such hot rides!!

Have fun!!!!

Welcome back. Glad that you had a good time. We rode Soarin' last year and have to agree that if you don't get your FP right away you will be waiting a long time.

We go in August. MY DH and DS are looking forward to EE. They would like to do that ride on our 1st day after we land. Does EE have a single rider line?
My DH figures it will be crowded and might be faster doing a single line.

Hey!! No EE does not have a single rider line. :-( That would be a great idea, but when we were there, there was not one.

Hope you guys have fun!!!!

one of my friends recently rode EE and said she used the single rider line. It was great except you miss the story. :confused3

There are no signs for it but they do. You just have to ask the person at the FP line for a single rider ticket and they will give you a little ticket then you will be directed where to go.

EE has a single rider line and the nice thing about the ride is that the queue is so amazing. There are a number of hidden mickeys in the standby line.

EE does have a single rider line. Just ask a CM about it. I saw many people use it on our recent trip.

There are morning EMH on the day we are planning on going to AK and EE is listed on the website as being one of the atttractions to open early. Do you think it is a good idea to take advantage of the early opening for EE?

Also, since I would be riding by myself (DM is a scaredy-cat :p ) should I request the single rider line or would I be completely missing a big portion of the experience if I did this? I would most likely be using FP.

The single rider and FP riders take the same route so if you were going to do FP anyway you may as well go for single rider. What I did when I arrived was to get a FP then headed to the single rider line. That way you can come back later with the FP if you want. Saturday the wait was either 70 or 90 minutes and through the single rider line I was on within 10 minutes. I figure I'll explore the line later when the wait isn't so long and it isn't so hot.

I have to say that if I can do this ride anyone can.

I didn't even notice the single rider line, but after talking to my DH this afternoon, he said there was a single rider line. So, my apologies for incorrectly answering your question...my bad!!! :rolleyes1

Thanks to you all for your replies!!!

I want to ride Soarin, but am a big baby when it comes to rides - afraid of heights, etc. Should I stay away?

NO! Don't let your fears keep you away. Believe me it is worth it. It is pretty amazing. I said you could tell the 2 people on my row who were afraid of heights - me and the girl sitting next to me. We kept our backs all the way back against the seat the entire time and were hanging on for dear life. But I really did enjoy it. It is a wonderful experience!

Definitely don't let your fear of heights keep you away from this wonderful ride! DM is afraid of heights and after a week of convincing she tried Soarin' and loved it!

If the heights still make you nervous, when you get up to the section in the line where the CM is splitting you off into rows, just ask if you can be in the row of seats that raises the lowest amount off the floor (99% sure its the third row) :thumbsup2

It is the 3rd row that's closest to the ground. When we went we rode 2 times. The first time we were in the 1st row. What an amazing experience!! You really feel like you're right up there in the sky. The 2nd time we were in the 3rd row and it's still good, but not as realistic because you can see the feet dangling from the rows above and you can see the edge of the screen and the operator off to the side. I think if you're nervous about heights you'd be fine in the 3rd row. :thumbsup2

We were there last week - rode EE over and over again using Fast Pass - practically NO WAIT at all with FP. And there was a single rider line.

We rode Soarin' two weeks ago, and didn't find it too crowded. We got to Epcot at opening, headed right to Soarin', rode it (1st row center rules!), got a FP for Soarin', rode Test Track (little wait), and then rode Soarin again with the FP.

Definitely a must do and not a problem even for the most height fearful.

OMG!!! Soarin' is AWESOME!!! I am scared of heights, but this ride was nothing. It was soooo awesome!! Definitely a "MUST DO"!! :dance3:

We loved it and rode it twice during our trip...we probably would have ridden it more if we could! :teeth:

Soarin' was amazing!!! :thumbsup2

A Must do! Now one of my fave rides!
