soarin' and a 3 year old

on our last visit we didn't get a chance to ride soarin'. Now I think the height restriction is 38 or 40 " and my daughter is now at 40" but we are not going until august. Even though she meets the height requirement is it a scary ride? Gas anyone gone on with their 3 year old?

Not scary in the least.

A nice easy ride and so much fun!

Not really scary - unless you're in the top row and afraid of heights. Eek!

mine 3yo son loved it...the only bad part is the wait to get on..

My ODS was 3.5 when he first rode. He was a little anxious, but about 1/2 way through he starting chanting "I'm flying, I'm flying!" He absolutely LOVED it.
I will say I was a bit nervous that he would get scared and try to bolt out of the chair. I had my "seatbelt arm" out the whole time!

My DD10 was afraid of fireworks when she was younger, so I told her in advance to cover her ears when we were "Soarin" over Disneyland, and that helped a lot. Sure, she could still hear and feel the fireworks, but she knew they were coming and felt like she had some control.

As she has gotten older, she still covers her ears, but only out of habit I think. Now she is afraid of heights, but the ride doesn't scare her

I would say offer your daughter your hand to hold before the lights go down, and warn her if she is afraid of the dark/heights/loud noises. My DD7 holds my hand every time we ride, just because she is so happy on the ride!!

I don't think it is scary at all unless you are afraid of very heights. I would not hesitate to take my 3 year old on Soarin, but all kids are different.

My DS was 4 when he went on it last August. Halfway through the ride, he told me "I'm never, ever, ever going on this ride again!"
