We were looking at the wait times today from here in NJ and it said a 240 minute wait for Soarin. I was telling my kids they don't know how lucky they are to go to WDW at slow times, they didn't believe that it was that long. Has anyone here on the boards waited 4 hours for a ride, any ride? I just can't imagine it. I almost find it hard to believe that people would wait that long. Does Disney exaggerate the waits sometimes?

Yes, Disney exaggerates the wait times to encourage people to visit other areas of the park to distribute the masses more evenly. *pretend I didn't tell you that*.

The thing is if you wait that long, that's like half a day or at least a third. Where do they even put the line??? there is only so much "THE LAND" to place it in

Yeah I gathered that too. One cast member actually told me "it's really about five minutes" for like a 15 sign or something like that for Splash Mt Last year

I can't imagine anything worth a 4 hour wait that doesn't include a meal, nap and a shower...

I can't think of any circumstance...any...that I would ever wait in a four-hour line. Life-or death situations for me or my family, yes. Rides at an amusement park...even Disney...no.

This thread was from New Years Eve in 2015. That is one of the busiest days, during the absolute busiest weeks, to be at WDW.

Also, since then, Soarin' has increased its guest throughput capacity to 150% of what it was in 2015. This has cut down on wait times.
