Soap and Shampoo

We leave in 2 days and I have one last question ( actually there might be more ) is there soap and shampoo like in the other resorts?

Also we plan on buying a thing of laundry detergent and dishwashing soap, if we leave it behind after we are done will housekeeping take it or leave it for the next guest? If we could help someone else out I think that would be great, so I would hope they would leave it behind.

I just can't wait, in my mind I'm already there.

There will be a bar of hand soap by each bathroom sink (depends on what type of unit you have) and a bar of bath soap by each tub or shower. They will be replaced on trash and towel day.

You will be supplied with a small (single use) box of laundry detergent. You might want to consider buying some of the tablets that are now available and bringing a few along in a ziplock bag, instead of buying detergent when you're there.

I wouldn't buy any dishwashing soap however -- you will be provided with a bottle of liquid detergent and a supply of DW powder (unless you're in a studio, which doesn't have a dishwasher). If you run out of either of these, you can call housekeeping for more. (You're on your own for additional soap and laundry detergent.)

Check your new guide book for the explanation of what is in each unit. We have found that they will bring anything down right away if it is missing. You pay extra for extra laundry soap, but other cleaning supplies are provided.

We were in a studio last week *sign* and I noticed that we didn't not receive any lotion that we usually get in the hotel rooms at WDW. I thought I was loosing my mind, because I swore I had a bottle of lotion at home with Mickey on it. Sure enough, when we got home, there it was on the shelf in our bathroom. I don't know if it was just over looked at the villas or if they do not leave the bottles of lotion. It wasn't a big deal, but I would have taken mine from home if I would have known there would not have been any in the room.

They have not left lotion in OKW for years. You are not out of your mind. Also, I find that list a bit misleading. They also don't have lotion at VB. Just soap and shampoo.
