"So you're looking for a laughing place, eh? We'll show you a laughing place!"

Has to be the Main Street Electrical Parade for me. Sitting on Main Street with an Ice Cream cone of course!

DH and I have been going to Disney together since before marriage, before kids and for some reason we think it's really funny that we know all of the "pre show" lines by heart. And now our kids know them too, and we use them all of the time in real life.

For example:

In Dinosaur -- Phyllisha Rashad -- "That's propietary"
In Soarin' -- "Soarin to Tower" --- ahhhh, the butterflies!!!! :yay:
In RNR -- the tour manager "Make it Happen" and Steven Tyler "Wait a minute, I love that idea!!!"

There are so many of these lines that we love. I couldn't even complete a list about reasons we love Disney, it's so large. When we arrive at Disney, that absolute familiarity makes us at ease and at home. I can't imagine not having that feeling. :cloud9:

I love arriving at the MK on the Disney Bus and the "Mickey Music" comes on.

I just love MK at nighttime. It's so magical all lit up. In fact, MK is my favourite theme park full stop. And of course, Wishes. It's my absolute favourite nighttime entertainment in all of WDW. We watched it in front of the castle and it was absolutely amazing.

I also love Epcot and Test Track and the World Showcase. Oh what I wouldn't give to be walking around and having lunch at Sunshine Seasons before Soarin or Test Track again.

I love sooo much!! A few warm fuzzies...

When I arrive and they "welcome me home"
When the bus pulls up to MK and the Mickey Mouse theme song comes over the speaker.
The sound of the train as you get close.
Splash mountain, the stretch with the critter elixir wagon, the garden, the tree houses, and looking down over frontierland. (the awe) And the end when I see "ITS THE TRUTH" "ITS ACTUAL" " EVERYTHING IS SATISFACTUAL!" (Yes it is!)
Small world...just the whole dang ride!
Philharmagic.....the Peter Pan part.... (Goosebumps)
CoP. The whole thing.
Hearing the kids playing the tiki drums in adventureland. The cue and everything for pirates.
The country bear jamboree! Every minute from entrance to leaving.
The teacups and the music.
And all our WISHEEESSSSS......will come truuuuue!! (Insert falling star firework here)
The bus ride back to PoR listening to the banjo music and the crickets...holding my tired kids and looking at other parents doing the same. Feeling so fortunate just to be. In that moment.

I am so excited to see one of these posts, with all of the horribly negative comments regarding the whole FP+ thing, it gets very discouraging. However, this is the perfect bright spot on the situation that is the boards right now.

MK: The first thing that gets me is the Statue of Walt and Mickey. I always feel like the sun shines down on that spot :). Then my real favorite spot is the door hallway in HM. I love it, and then the graveyard of course.

Epcot: The whole Mexico Pavillion! I love the dark, night, feel. Its so ... Ahhhh, ah-mazing. and then of course the fountain, but only at sunset... then it's magical.

DHS: Tot Lobby and "Basement", and the RnRC record room. I just love listening to the Aerosmith music in the line. I will not get a FP for it because I love it so much!

AK: This may sound odd... but The Anandapur Ice Cream Bus... Strange, I know but I see it and I know I'm getting close to Everest!

MK: Crossing the bridge from the Hub into AL.
Walking through the doors into The Haunted Mansion

EPCOT: Walking into the park! I love EPCOT!!

DHS: ToT queue

AK: Wandering the paths around the Tree of Life

extra: enjoying an ice cream outside the food court at POR

OP, thanks for the positive thread!

MK the TTA people mover at night or Splash at night looking toward castle!

Epcot inside the Mexican pavilion lighting, sounds, smells and the Tequila:cool1:

DHS Tower of terror drop and exiting park from Mama Melrose on a quiet stroll out hearing all the music

Animal Kingdom Festival of the Lion King:thumbsup2

On property many Monorail Loop, Coronado pool, Ohana, Boma, Boat ride from boardwalk area to Epcot.

THE SMELL OF SPLASH MOUNTAIN.
The stretching room in HM.
A ride on the People Mover on a hot day.
Figment. (He's been one of my favorites for as long as I can remember)
Walking around World Showcase and sampling food from all the countries.

You rock, for starting this, OP!

MK - PeopleMover. On a hot, sunny day. The breeze feels fantastic, and the dark tunnels cool you off so quickly. It's a mini vacation for me!

EP - I have 3 places I put myself whenever I am having a bad day. 1) the dock after Norway ride. The sounds of a seaside village, and the décor of it...love it! 2) the part of Living with the Land just prior to the greenhouse - where the 3 big screens are? I love it there, for some reason. And 3) under the painting scene in SSE. The music there gets me....I close my eyes and breathe it all in!

DHS - not my fave park...it's pretty blah and sterile for me. I guess I would choose in line for GMR (love the old clips), or at the end of GMR with the other old clips.

AK - love our early mornings there. We go right for Pizzafari and get breakfast and map out our day. AK is 9/10 our first park of the trip, so that morning is always so full of happiness and possibilities for us!

I am really hoping that WDW gets back to where it was at one time, where this stuff was enjoyable and attainable. After our last trip, it was not. We are going in a few weeks...1 park day. I am hoping to catch some of that magic again that makes us want to come back again and again. I would be really sad to feel it was gone for good :(

That darn warning sign at the top of the red slope in BB warning you not to ride if you have heart issues - as if the 20,000 stairs wouldn't have already done you in :lmao:

The dining room in HM
ToT queue
Walking into WS from the International Gateway
Morning coffee on the balcony at BC

I forgot flying over London on PP

MK- walking down Main Street and seeing the castle.
CoP- just remember riding it as a kid on every trip.
People Mover- special time with my youngest as he was too short for a lot of rides his older brothers wanted to do. We rode it at least 4 times, and every time it got dark he'd cuddle in my lap. :)
Potc- another ride we did a lot as a kid.

Epcot- Maelstrom. My dad is from Norway, so it was a big ride for us when I was young, and I made sure to take my kids at few times too. I love the little town facade at the end of the ride.
I miss Hoizons and the Body pavilion.

AK- seeing the Tree for the first time. I could spend hours looking at the animals carved into the tree.

I love me some positive threads!! Disney is full of magical spots for me, but my favorites are:

MK: Space mountain. Everything about it. The line queue, the darkness, the retro feeling ride.

Epcot: That initial rush of the Soarin gliders going up. I love the feel of the breeze in my face and that wow you get with the first image on screen.

DHS: Walking through the mini Walt museum. I love looking at those relics and can't help but wonder what Walt would think of his vision today!

AK: The Nemo Show! Well - Really, my sons lit up face during the show. It literally makes me cry.

Other than those, my all time favorite thing ever...... the one thing that gets me in that magical mood is riding the monorail. I will just sit on it and ride a few laps enjoying the views and taking it all in.

A positive thread! I forgot these existed on the DIS! Thanks, OP!

MK- I love walking across the Adventureland bridge. I love walking around the flagpole in Town Square to get that first view of the Castle. I love sitting on the Peoplemover and putting my aching feet up on the seat opposite.

Epcot- I love Spaceship Earth. I love the Mitsukoshi department store in Japan and the entire Mexico pavilion. I love walking around the lake and the breeze that comes off the water on a hot day.

DHS- I love the street performers and their corny jokes. I love MuppetVision and the Miss Piggy fountain outside. I love the queue for the Tower of Terror because it's so well themed. I love the art deco buidlings and I love the smell of the pines in Soarin'.

AK- I love the cover of the trees when the day is sizzling. I love watching the gorillas on the Pangani Trail. I love ratcheting up the first hill on Everest where you can see the entire park.

I also love the early mornings when it's a bit cooler and the day is just beginning and full of promise as I walk to the food court for breakfast. I love when the bus pulls up at the stop at whatever park I'm visiting that day. I love soaking up the atmosphere and talking to CMs and poking around in all the shops. And I love climbing into bed at night at the hotel exhausted and with my feet aching because I know I've done all that was possible and loved every minute of it.

I'm sorry to say, but my favorite no longer exists. At the end of Spaceship Earth (the Jeremy Irons) version, there was a long slow descent at the end. No talking, no video games, just a backwards return to the bottom with fiber optic lights, great music, and a cool breeze blowing over you.

That portion of the ride always made me appreciate being able to share this time with my wife and kids.

I've only had two trips, with my third coming up at the end of April, so I am no expert, but I know what I love.

Coronado Springs -- just everything about it. Walking around the lake and seeing all the beautiful flowers. Gorgeous. Sitting on a bench and just feeling the breeze and looking out over the lake. Can't wait to be back on that bench.

MK -- First sight of the castle. I also love the balloon vendors! Seeing them standing there with their big balloon bouquets, just makes me very happy. Never bought one, but for some reason, I just love them.

Epcot -- All of World Showcase. We travel the same time each year, so we are always there for the Flower & Garden Festival, so that is how I know Epcot. It's just beautiful.

Animal Kingdom -- Nothing there that I don't love. The tree of life is amazing and could ride the Safari all day long just watching the animals.

DHS -- RNR -- love the thrill of take off!

I just love Disney. My DH and I are both in our late 40s and do not have children. Yet the last three years we have chosen Disney as our vacation destination. It really is for kids of ALL ages and love that it makes me feel like a kid. I can ride Dumbo and nobody looks at me like I'm a freak. :goodvibes I can't wait to return.

OP -- thank you for starting such a feel-good thread!

I LOVE that part of Splash-you've just had that exciting drop, you are laughing everyone is checking to see how wet the other person got, and then there is the singing-I can close my eyes and be there right now :p

And how did I forget about Philharmagic-the part where Ariel put her hands out-my goodness I feel like she's going to scoop us up and take us with her.

We love CSR-it really is a beautiful resort. DH and I went on our first adults only trip this past September and it was heavenly, it definitely is a place for everyone. We will be going this May to the Flower and Garden Festival for the first time and I cannot wait to see all of those flowers.

This thread makes me so happy, thanks op!

MK: gosh, so many. Riding HM and BTMRR at night, Splash Mountain, Peter Pan, and walking down Main Street. Also, LOVE the castle at night.

EP: the miniature train set in Germany (I think it's Germany), the fiber optics in the sidewalks near Innovations that light up at night (yes it's weird, but it was my favorite when I was little), and The Land ride.

AK: looking for animals on the Tree of Life.

DHS: the line and ride itself at ToT, the movie clips at GMR, and the Little Mermaid show.

That was my favorite, too. I am not a fan of the interactive part, nor the Completely dark and vacant area where the beautiful city used to be. It's pretty cheesy and lame now. I wish they would do something with that area...so much potential!
