Still no cupcakes but DBF and I just completed making chili chocolate truffles

Oh my! Recipe please, that looks better than a cupcake.

We should let the new thread get buried and maybe the mods will notice less without the second one floating to the top too.

Hopefully this is good motivation and loosing some weight helps everything.

I've had a lot of fun doing it. It's good to try but remember it's not easy. But I bet you didn't swim laps your first time in a pool, or hit the first pitch playing basball. All sports require some skill and practice.

Thanks. I think it will be.

It's funny you mention hitting a baseball, because it is the one sport I've tried that I am terrible at. I was always very athletic (before I gained a lot of weight). My sister wanted me to join her softball league. After two seasons, I could still barely hit the ball. It was time to hang in the towel. I love swimming on the other hand and cannot remember a time when I did not know how. Both of my sons take swim lessons, and the older one is good (for his age).

I have that problem to some extent, but I have never passed out...yet.

I do have valium on hand in case the Vertigo comes back.

I have given up on skiing. We did it when I was a kid, and I was pretty good. Then I didn't do it again until I was with the ex-husband. He tried to teach me to ski and that was a disaster. Then there was a trip to Park City with some friends, I bit the dust on the green trails, hit my head and won a no expense paid trip to the Urgent Care. Luckily it was right around the corner from our condo. I ended up cooking for the guys for the rest of the week.

It has been a long time, since I've passed out. I've had a couple of close calls recently. I do not have anything for it but can ask the Dr if he can prescribe something at my next appt.

I probably will have a lot of injuries until I get the hang of it. The guys are in trouble if they want to rely on me for the cooking. My husband is a much better cook than I am.

That's quite a list. Good news and bad news.

And in terms of losing weight, Alison and I and Steph (another Disser) occassionally hang out on a thread in the WISH subforum. I've been getting serious about losing 10 kg (about 22 lbs) this year. So far, I've lost 2.9 kg (over 6 lbs) in 5 weeks. If you need somewhere to hang out or some support, come on over to the Boo to Us thread!

Yes. I am pleased that there was more good news than bad.

I may check it out. Thanks for the heads up.

Kmedina, I dont know but do your sinuses bother you? I know that as I got older, I would get more light headed from the pressure. Sometimes sinuses can do bizzare things. My sinuses are in full force this year since everything is blooming much earlier. I notice when we come and vacation in Vegas, in the heat my sinuses are at there worst.

Yes. I have year round allergies. My sinuses are always full and bothersome. They contribute to my sinus pressure headaches. It is possible that they make me lightheaded at times, but my incredible dizzy spells did not start until my most recent pregnancy. I do seem to get relief in other cities, so I agree that my sinuses are bad here in Vegas.

We have an update on the TR.

I am going there next. Hoping to get in all in before I have to leave for my niece's birthday dinner.

Kmedina I hope you can start getting better soon. At least you have some answers and treatment plans

Answers are the best part. I've waited so long. Thank you.

Okay yall, here is the new link, now if you dont like it dont blame me I got conned into it. This is the best I can do with an achy body. Now I need to go to the store.

I am going to have to subscibe, since my settings have not saved a single post (other than one of my own trip report) since 12-21-11. They are there when I am logged in. The next day, they are all gone again. Subscibing to that thread is going to stink. I will have at least 100 emails or more each day. Will have to tinker with the settings to get less notifications.

Don't worry, I'm sure if you loose it, it will pop to the top often.

Today I went skiing, is was really good, snowing all day and soft all over the hill. Got home, and had to plow the driveway so i can make it to school in the morning. Made dinner, did homework with DS put him to bed. Then tried to catch up on some TV I recorded but the internet is getting in the way.

Ah I miss those days, I loved skiing when I was younger. Now I get bad sinus headache going up the hill and coming home. Glad you had a good day.

Well, I'm not sure if it's really a date per se. He's not interested in dating anyone at the moment, so it's really just us hanging out and me having a crush on him and him knowing I have a crush on him. If that makes any sense.

I guess... I'm just trying not to think about it too much and just enjoy whatever this is :lmao: We discussed it last week and he said "girls our age are too much drama... but you're not that much drama" and I'm sitting there like :headache:. But yeah, I'm definitely attracted to him and I know he's attracted to me, so I have no idea where this is going. But at least I have a new friend, even if it never goes in that direction :)

The best relationships start out as friends first.

We're also pulling a budget at work. Herding cats is easier. I started the task and babysat it until we had a proper finance person start with us. I was glad to hand it over to him. Most people were doubling up and when I rang them to justify their numbers...most couldn't. :sad2:

I agree, isn't it so much fun? Budget is on top of my normal duties that don't go away during the budget season.

What a harsh drug!:lmao:

But handy at times!

I could use ice cream

I'll share some of my Baskin Robbins Mud Pie my DH just reminded me we have in the freezer from my b-day.
