So..You can't call anymore and ask if a pin is attached to your name?

I, too, have never received an email with a pin...that's why I called. After I had already booked, and was looking at disboards, I remembered someone else calling and asking. So, I tried. Sure enough, there had been one but it had expired, though I never knew about it. And the sweet cm member even checked under dh's name to see if he had a different one. But alas, the last two times I've called, they say there is a new policy that I have to call them with the pin.
I will keep trying though...still hoping for some undiscovered pixie dust!:):yay::yay::yay:

CBR Oct 6-12 for 25th Anniversary!
MNSSHP first timers Oct 8...Whoo Hoooo!

A similar thing happened to me last year. I did not receive notification that I had a pin, either by email or snail mail. But after numerous calls, over several weeks, to ask the CM to check to see if I had one, I finally had one. I booked my ressie during that very call. I'm not sure if it had been there all along and I eventually got a CM who put forth the effort to look, or if it just happened to appear between my calls. IDK...but I would have booked during the first call, had I known I had a pin, saving myself and Disney time and effort.

So I called again this morning. The cm told me the same thing. They weren't allowed to look up anything, it was a fairly new rule, and that the only way I would know is if I got a card or email...so sad:sad2::sad2:

But knowing me:idea:, I will keep trying!!!!

CBR - Oct 6-12 for 25 Anniversary!!!

MNSSHP Oct 8th

Nothing will stop our excitement!:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

Has anyone been able to use the website posted by another DIS poster to see if there is something attached to their name?

visit.disneyparks.com/yourname

My name doesn't get me anything, but when I try my best friend, it has deal available, though it actually isn't for her as she has a common name. It isn't her email at the bottom of the page.

I just called the WDW Travel Co (twice) and they said they don't have that system to do that anymore and you can only find out about Pin Codes by email or mail........:headache:

I just called 407-939-6244, i went thru the promts to modify an existing resort reservation. I asked the CM to see if I had any PIN's assigned to my name. She did not hesitate, asked for my last name and zip code and said that there were not any PIN's but that Disney had mailed me some general info recently. I think it's luck of the draw on the type of CM you get. I had a very short tempered lady yesterday.

Back when the Goofy codes first came out, I called to see if a CM could look up my name to see if I had a PIN code. The CM said no. I called again a few days later and the CM I got tried to be very helpful. She looked up my name and didn't find one. She saw my last reservation and said she'd try every name that was on my previous reservations (there were 6 people total). I also gave her a couple of other names that DH and I go by (I have a legal name and a name that I go by which is a somewhat common abbreviation). This took around 10 minutes of her time. She found nothing. About a week before the Goofy PINS were about to expire, I happened to be trying to log into my Disney account and I typed a userid without my email info and it turned out I had a second Disney account under an old yahoo address. When I went to the yahoo email, I found a Goofy PIN code. It had been there when I called but the CM didn't find it.

I guess my point is that I think it's a problem with the system where CMs can't see the PIN codes by name. I don't think it's just CMs being difficult or not knowing the rules. I understand that they got a new system over the past year so I'm guessing this ability wasn't included in the new system.

When I called a couple of days ago, the CM checked for me, but he didn't seem particularly eager to do it. So I told him that I was an AP holder, and that many AP holders had received e-mails with a pin code. I said I wanted to be sure I hadn't missed the e-mail if they sent me one. He still didn't seem eager, but he checked anyway and found only an old, expired pin code. Clearly he could check if he wanted to, he just needed a little persuasion.

Still, e-mail is such an inexact way to issue discount codes ... messages get caught in spam filters or returned due to old addresses or full inboxes, etc. I was grateful that he checked for me so I could at least rest easy that I hadn't missed something.

Now to wait for the official AP rates to be announced. Maybe tomorrow morning? *crosses fingers*

Just called tonight to check on the Ap pin code. She asked for my address, phone number and email. Looked in 2 places, the first was a dud but then she checked a second place and found one! She put me on hold for 10 minutes and came back to tell me she applied it to my bounceback offer and it saved me $130.00 over my bounceback!:cool1::banana:
Now I can add 2 more nights on to my stay by hopefully booking a AP rate room with my savings!!!
I hate that there is'nt more consistency among the CMs. Luckily I have always had very nice CMS. If you do not get a nice one call back they are out there!
:dance3::dance3:

I bought our APs online by voucher in March, activated May 20, but no emails for me. Very Frustrating!

I'm with Princess; I'm just sitting here WAITING for a PIN code! I never have received one in any format, but should I call to see if there is something for Nov? Are they hungry enough for bookings that if you call, you will get one? It looks to me like it is only to AP holders, which we are not. We have been there, staying on property, twice in the last four years, and I am registered everywhere for discounts.
(I knew I should'a booked 4/3!!)

Did you go to the AP website when you got home and log on and register your AP? Did you also go to the disneyworld website and log on and change your profile to tell them that you are now an AP holder and enter your AP information? This stuff needs to be done. We are an AP family of 2 and my daughter is an AP family of four. Needless to say that she received 4 pin emails to different email addresses and we received 2 pin emails to two different email addresses all for the current 40% off promotion. I know it's a pain, but you can't rely on disney to update your profiles and register you AP, you need to cover all of your basis. We get all AP emails about AP only events, AP room discounts, and AP pins. Good luck!!

I was just told by a CM on the phone that they no longer are allowed to give out pin codes associated with your name as of Jan 1st.:headache:

I was talking about this in another thread about the 40% off pin code -BUT I talked to two other CMs today who gave me the story that they can no longer look up PIN codes - yada yada they expire and there's nothing they can do. Told me that if I did get a pin code via email and lost that email just seconds before, they still couldn't look it up. However, I just called a 3rd time to modify my exisiting ressie and nice lady looked up my info. She did tell me that I had no other codes but she never said anything about not being able to look up codes, etc. So, are these CM liars who tell us they can't look it up anymore? I think they are, and it's a story to make it easier for them and less hassle. :confused3

I have the free dining at a Deluxe for Sept 3rd, but wanted a discount code instead. I called a few minutes ago and the CM would not look to see if I had a code attached. I said can you look at my DH's account because he deletes his email before he reads it. She was reluctant, but then said , "you have no codes available for your household".

Just got off the phone with a wonderful CM - she did look to see if any codes were attached to anyone in our household but there were none. I then asked her to check to see if there was a code for our cousin who traveled with us last year - there was, but it had expired on the 6th :mad: She did say that codes for November would be out in July.

Sounds fishy to me. If they can't look up your PIN what's to stop you from using a PIN that was sent to someone else? I booked with a PIN about a month ago and they most definitely knew that I had a PIN attached to my name. I can believe that they have been instructed not to look, but I don't believe that they don't have access to that information.

They didn't even ask me for my PIN when i booked my stay the other day.. I gave them my name, and address info, and they immediately gave me my 40% off PIN room rate.

So, they can obviously check to see if you have the PIN attached to your name.

I called recently and was told the same exact thing as you. She could no longer see what is attached to names. :confused3
